Just seen that my post was 999, so though I should open a new one. Not meaning to tread on anyone's toes - except Gary/Ryan/Geoff etc.

Ali will have to sell his sporty car. No job now. He’ll not be able to work in the health professions will he? So it’s job centre and universal credit for him.

I reckon toyah will be behind the rovers bar before the week is out.

Was Ali charged last night? Won’t he have to stick around for the court case? He should’ve punched Maria, knocked some sense into her! Who in their right mind would ever believe Gary would just have a quiet word with Ali??

And where is Ali’s overprotective mother when he needed her? In the Coronation st black hole, or locked down for Coronavirus somewhere!

That's what happened to Audrey's Alfie! He just fell asleep in his chair. Wouldn't we all like an ending like that for our loved ones...

Ali can only come back if he does something with his feckin' hair, he looks a right charlie

I’d rather see Geoff going to jail. It doesn’t happen enough IRL or in soapland that scumbags get justice. Dying isn’t justice. It’s a free getaway.

As Ali was driving off into the sunset he saw whatserface huggermugger with Gary. I thought the penny would drop (that stranger talking with my nemesis was in the Rovers on the day I'm sure someone drugged me) and he'd slam the brakes on to confront them. But perhaps his hair was in his eyes and he didn't see what I thought he did!

It looked like ali was going to take a pic and then decided fuck it, leave them to it. There was a song playing in the background, just walk away or something like that, seemed fitting.

Just come on to say the Sarah Adam wedding was ridiculous. They're so completely mismatched and they've been dating a few months. Zero chemistry. They've totally gone 360 on Sarah's character, trying hard to make her into Carla and Carla into Sarah. It's a joke. I mean, her and Adam don't even live together and they've not had one episode where they've shown them on a date. What about Sarah's mental health issues? Where's Harry? Why is she now running the factory on her own?

Also cannot stand gemma and the constant shouting about everything. Awful awful character with zero redeeming qualities. Tyrone, fizz, Maria, Tracey, Amy, Craig, Beth all awful too. And as for Maureen lipman, trying to make her into the new Blanche is just not working. Including her in the Blackpool trip was pointless. She's played one role (with one wig) all her career. She is god awful.

Power I'm inclined to agree! The wedding was the equivalent of popping out to the caff, done and dusted and did it really happen because they don't act like they're married!

And Tracey thinking she might get an interior designer for Ken's place? Where does she get the money from, given she sells one bunch of flowers a week!

No one will replace Blanche, she and Deidre came out with some classic lines!

Power I thoroughly agree with what you have wrote.These storylines are terrible, no thought put into any of them.Also the awful characters. I know this is make believe, but it is going to extremes.
Gemma is the worst, and the quads story is ridiculous.And where is poor Joseph? he seems to be forgotten it is just 'The Quads" all the time.Her mother seems to have cleared off as well.

Does anyone remember when toyah had the baby that nobody ever mentioned again. It's time she became miraculously pregnant. The news is so horrible coronation street needs to be a happy distraction

I think they need to sack the writers. There are too many storylines, too many stories that cover all bases... I have tried to think of something that they haven't done. I think it's great when they tackle a particular issue but they have two many issues going on!

The best Corrie is when there is one or two storylines... like Yasmeen and Geoff, and then there's a bit of humour from the likes of Norris or similar and a more gentle pace of everyday life.

The quads story is pathetic. I turned off for a few weeks when that was very current.

Nathan the gay footballer who seems to have a press office at his disposal , is very unlikely too. I was fed up with that storyline before it even happened!

But I keep watching and have done all my life...

The Eva baby story. I'd completely forgotten that whole episode. Toyah, Peter, Adam, Johnny... All of them have forgotten.

I agree about the footballers family , both the footballer and the dad, especially the dad are dreadful actors. I do wonder how Corrie selects actors, there are thousands upon thousands of actors who would give their right arm for a shot at a regular, well paying role and yet somehow they end up with dross.(Sophie, Maria etc) and when they do have good actors (actor who plays Cathy) they don't utilise them.

I think Yasmeen actor has really stepped up now she has been given a chance to shine.

I agree with others they need to strip back the cast and plots, they should take a look at some Classic Corrie, no harm in pausing for a breath.
