Just seen that my post was 999, so though I should open a new one. Not meaning to tread on anyone's toes - except Gary/Ryan/Geoff etc.

squitz she got a job down in London, and I think once she realised he was married and wasn't interested she left anyway.

There are a lot of abandoned storylines at the moment, and then they bring in the bat people. Just why.

I couldn't give a toss about Gary and Maria and Hirsute Ali but at least it's fun mocking them.

There's something about Nina that really grates on me. She gets on my last nerve. Something about the way she talks to people just gives me the rage.

Agree that Nina has a very sneery way about her.

I was about a week behind but have sat and caught up just to read this thread, your comments were worth it

I think they want her to seem really eccentric like Roy but she just come off as a bit of a dick.

Pity Ali didn't smother Gary with his beehive hairdo. I'm really loving Nina & Roy.

Was Nina flirting with Roy tonight?? it was really weird the way she was talking to him when they were discussing her being robin or batgirl.

What is going on with Ali's hair? It has more personalities than half the cast at the moment!

Really want Alya to find something that finally nails Geoff.

I like Nina. Hope she stays and brings joy to Roy. I also like the relationship Nina and Carla have.

The whole Ali / Gary / Maria triangle can bore off now.

I though Steve had to sell the flat to raise money towards No1. But it seems Liz is going to stay there. Is she buying it? Otherwise how are Steve and Trace going to raise the £130k?

Love it! Let's hope Gary gets his comeuppance, at least Ali (who comes across as a bit thick to me) latched on to the spiked drink thing.

Is Ken having second thoughts on going? Is that what he'd gone round to tell Tracey and Steve?

PennyRoyal yes I am sure Steve said they needed to sell the flat. Ken does seem to be having second thoughts about moving, but if he does then that whole storyline was pointless. I think Nina's issue is that she puts her head back and bares her teeth when she is speaking which gives her a sneery look. I also find it hard to know if she is being sarcastic or not sometimes.

I like the Nina /Roy /Carla story. I hope they don't start getting rid of the older corrie characters, it would be the nail in the coffin for me

I like the older characters too.

So Geoff is up to his old games then... hopefully Aisha can catch him out. She has with the reviews, what next?

Off topic, but how can people who run a restaurant go home for lunch?

I can't tell either whether Nina is another shit young actor from that appalling stage school that supplies Corrie with its most wooden and gob-gurning characters, or she is being directed to portray a discomforting needy flirt-girl.

Either one of those is grim tbh and not worthy of the golden memories of the characters Roy and Hayley.

It would be lovely if she could become the daughter Roy never had. But they have given her some odd lines - " Does my bum look big in this?!" She's a bit young to remember that phrase.

Before she said that line I was just thinking that she bore more than a passing resemblance to Queen Victoria, so perhaps her bum did look big!?

Well they must be doing some hasty re-writes to accommodate the pandemic issues, so hopefully if they're reading this they'll write and direct Nina to be less 'off' with Roy.

Weird, freaky, discombobulating, all fine.

Just not discomforting.
