That's very true whoever mentioned in the bridging thread about Sharons actions starting all this off.

Id forgotten she swore on Denny's life but she did reference it last night.

I also think there's some significance in the fact Ben returned to take Phil down. They seem to have built bridges but him saying he'd kill Phil for Callum shows that rift still exists.

I do think Phil will actually have guilty moment too. He's responsible for all the violence from this because of Sheanu. He obviously isn't responsible for the affair but his extreme "they've betrayed me and must die" reaction contributed.

I also think he knows he then used Denny to get back at Sharon. But I also think he does care about him.

I hope the next few weeks continue in the same strong theme and there is actually some investigation into the crash.

Anyway, it's all very sad. Sharon will reject baby and blame Ian. Funeral will be awful.

Beans, Callum managed to saw the cuffs off his hands , but he was disoriented and probably a bit dehydrated etc and fell from a bit of a height to the floor.
Shirley was sent to find him but she couldn't see him anywhere.
Last shot was Callum in the floor and it didn't look too good :(

Why didn't Keanu go and look for Callum himself before leaving in his soggy clothes, he knew Shirley couldn't find him and he knows where he is!

Someone on previous thread couldn’t understand how gunshot made boat sink. My thinking is:

The gunshot didn’t cause boat to crash. The captain left the wheel. (He surely wouldn’t be on his own at the wheel on a big party boat). Then whilst fighting someone knocked it and the boat swung out of control into a jetty or another boat. That was the crash noise.

We saw what happened. Think thur

The captain left the wheel As Phil and keanu fighting

One of them hit /pushed captain who fell and hit head on bars

Fight went into wheel room

As Phil hit keanu he fell and hit /twisted the wheel so boat turned sharply which resulted in boat crashing

The shot fired went through window

Pretty Gutted Keanu left, he was looking fiiinnneee with that homeless stubble he had going on.

Why did Phil get an entire rescue boat all to himself

Poor Sharon. Even by EE standards losing your dad, husband and son in grisly circumstances is bleak! It's difficult to see how she can come back from this. I don't think her friendship with Ian will end. She loves him (platonically) and their shared history plus both losing children will bond then in the end. She'll hate him at first, the guilt will drive Ian to try and end his life and she'll forgive him.

I watched a vintage episode on iPlayer last night to decompress after all that drama!
It was from 2000 (can't believe that is considered vintage..I am so old) an hour long episode on Bonfire night when Peggy finds out about Pat and Frank's affair. Ian's twins are about 5, Janine barely out of her teens but already a cracking actress and I'd forgotten that Phil was very good looking when he was younger!

Keanu might come back one day but I doubt anyone apart from Karen and her family would want to see him again!
Phil will be gunning for Billy for hitting him too. It's fammillyy and all that.

Phil was lovely and slim and alright when he was younger! Grant was the bad boy who treated women badly ( Sharon Tiffany Michelle etc)
Then Phil started drinking and taking drugs and became the hard man of the square.
His had a bad time of it but tends to fight fire with fire rather than a chat and a cup of tea! Guns feature heavily with Phil and his been shot a few times once by Shirley when he married Sharon. Will Phil divorce Sharon still? More stress!

I hope Karen stays in for a long time. I lover character. I also prefer Billy with Karen than mooing with over analysing everything Honey.

Billy loves Karen ; she is sassy enough to know it might not last so she is more pragmatic about it. His a Mitchell though and blood is thicker than water etc etc so she knows he could turn his loyalties on a sixpence! Karen has them all sussed.

Keanu was running scared after what happened to Denny : Phil would be after him! He told Ben but didn't realise his hearing aid had gone : he thought that was enough , plus Shirley was sent to find Callum as well but she has missed him on the floor!
So I guess he thinks his safe.

I said on the other thread that Sharon swore on Denny's life that she wasn't sleeping with Keanu a year ago, when Lou heard them shagging in the Arches and Sharon said they were having a personal training session!

So Denny has been destined to die for all this time, cursed by his own mother. It's all Sharon's fault. The other people were just incidental along the way.

Moral of this story : never kidnap anyone to get what you want as it never goes well !

Oh yes, Sharon is to blame here as well.
They all share the blame really ; chain of events that's hard to explain to anyone that doesn't watch it!
