Just saw his Instagram story where he has come out as gay. Very well written letter. Hope he and his family are ok.

bluntness How can you be so certain about what another woman would do if she felt a particular way? I realise your byline is 'it's obvious innit' but really, how can you feel so comfortably certain? If I was her, I would be letting him do whatever media was required and staying well out of it because RL is busy enough. It doesn't mean I know why she's chosen to be silent. Because I'm not her.

They don't out anymore, they simply find ways round it. What was interesting however was that a story in the public interest (this was around when #metoo was kicking off) was not reported on in its entirety because of the sexuality of the alleged victim.

He was coming under real flack for being a bully and really unpleasant to work with. I also think something was about to break. Personally I loathe him. He is a narcissist and a bit of a piece of work I think. My opinion before anyone jumps in

Philip Schofield has pulled this latest publicity stunt to save his own ratings and career. No doubt something was about to break about him and he's got in their first to direct the narrative.

He's a liar and a deceiver. He married someone and stayed with her for 27 years and had 2 DC. He's not brave. He's a coward and the ultimate selfish man.

The victim here is his wife and DDs. Anyone supporting him more than her is an enabler and part of the reason why men continue to crap on women and get away with it.

There are regularly posts here about women who are experiencing sexual confusion despite being married. No one suggested to them that they were the architects of a con act.

Who said she was shattered and why does this mean she's not supportive? I'd be shattered but it doesn't mean I'd feel someone had done the dirty necessarily, or that I hadn't known about the problem for a while. He was quite open about the fact that the entire family was shattered. It's very very sad when a family breaks and feelings don't behave the way you'd like them to. Lying about it is rarely the way forward, for anyone.

Why is it being said he's a narcissist? Genuinely, why?

I get the impression you would rather he'd drowned himself in the bath tub. Not because it would be better for his family but because he gets on MN's wick. Like everyone else with a pulse. The only reason you like his wife is because she's never opened her mouth to say something unforgivable.

I don’t like him because of his handling of the Savile abuse allegations. I’ve mentioned it on here a lot of times and there were threads about it at the time. I don’t think he’s a nice guy and everyone can read twitter so it’s not like deleting posts will stop the rumour mill.

He said a lot of dismissive things like “I’ve been in the BBC corridors and it cant happen the way you just said” and “how do you think his family feel about the things you are saying”. Just really goady and aggressive and dismissive. There was also the thing he did with showing the names of child sex offenders on a piece of paper on tv, I don’t know much about that but people at the time said it was an attempt at serious journalism from him which was very ill judged. There’s a link to that one. Anyway I think he is absolutely the sort of person to use a scandal/manipulate the public to further his career.

There's no doubt his wife knew he was gay, or had gay experiences, before they got married. However, by getting married, he committed to a heterosexual marriage for life. He's obviously struggled with that as time has gone on. So I don't think he's done his wife an injustice with his sexuality, but he has reneged on his promises to her when they got married. He may well have made those in good faith, but he's still broken them.

I agree with PP that if he'd had an affair and his marriage had broken down as a result, his reputation would be tarnished. Somehow, the idea that he couldn't help it because he's been struggling with his sexuality has given him a free pass. I believe that this has been a very well managed PR exercise to save his reputation. Hmm

Well if the aforementioned runner is NOT involved (now early twenties but first met PS five years ago) I feel even sorrier that he is being erased out of existence - his twitter is deleted and his you tube videos interviewing PS as part of his show reel....like that, they were gone.

Interesting that this runner is all over social media, he will know he is. Everyone who knows him will know he is. His friends, his family, his colleagues, And he has issued no statement, no denial and no confirmation.

If t wasn't true wouldn't uou issue a statement saying my name is being mentioned here and we had nothing short of a purely professional relationship? The radio silence from him speaks volumes.

Because if it wasn't true, and uou wished to continue to work in thr industry you'd immediately say it wasn't true. It's not like he's enjoying the coverage, being the centre of attention, he's went into hiding. And everything about his existence, his interactions with scholefield is being deleted from social media.

Right now I imagine that lad is being offered a shit ton of money to talk

Also this thing about his wife breaking her silence, she's done no such thing, there is one sentence attributed to her, saying it's emotionally painful and that's it. There is no support coming out, everything about what she is feeling or going to do is either coming from him or sources, from her there is nada, zilch.

I don't know but in my opinion a hugely supportive wife does a little more than say this is painful and leave it there.

I think that by showing his contempt of Savile victims (before the story gained real weight and like others, he changed his approach) how keen he was to dismiss the story, we can see exactly what he thinks and will say if this MM story makes it out.

According to Perez Hilton, who has uploaded a video about Joan Collins asking about why PS had come out when everybody knew, MM was let go by Loose Women last week.

Also, there is an old Instagram post from MM, from last summer when he mentions new job at Loose Women so he is not recently gone to LW, he has been there about 7 months.

So no longer employed, but probably not hard up for funds now.

He has been paid off. PS and his associates will be spending money on legal advice for injunctions and on MM to keep it buttoned.
