Changed the name of this thread as we were very upset with the ending of series 3 out in Bangladesh! Waiting out for news of series 4 and hoping it might not be long now. In the meantime, we are reviewing the seven series of Soldier Soldier.

Georgie likes to tell Lt Hurst what to do. It's a bit cringeworthy listening to her. He tries to put her down but doesn't quite seem to have the sufficient authority to stop her in her tracks.

Here we go, Georgie arguing, answering back and telling the officer what to do again. You tell her...Oliver!

Hurst needs to stop her talking before she gets really going, or he'll lose his authority...

Insalubrious dives - - I must try to remember that.

Flirty eyes there and a bit of banter. There's definitely hope and maybe some light at the end of the tunnel.

But then Monk has become a father. There's only Monk and Fingers left - no Brains either, and I miss the banter between Rab and Maisie. And the stuff with Fingers and Marie shows how Elvis didn't have to die to leave the show.

NOt sure I get the relevance of the endurance run apart from the fact it shows Prof in a very good light at the end.

I think the race shows that Prof is tough, dedicated, dependable and steady - a bonkers race though.

I always laugh when I see trucks like that. Remembering the Sohail moment and when one of the trucks almost rammed into the back of the one in front.

As soo as there is trouble, Georgie wades in, she just can't help herself. I think Mimi's well-meaning actions may backfire on her too.

That local food looks disgusting. No wonder Throbber is pulling a face. Fingers of course looks as if he'll eat anything.

Why on earth has Fingers not been promoted. He seems a solid, reliable soldier. He should at least be a Lance Corporal, if not Corporal. And here we have Georgie as a Sergeant.

It's interesting that the story has come full circle. Georgie is questioning what they ever did in Afghanistan to change anything. There were lots of questions in series 1 about the meaning of their actions and it really comes home to roost here.

I do like KIngy's barbed comment that the rank and file take orders whilst the officers interrogate them. Methinks he's not too keen on Lt Hurst.

Remember Fingers commandeering Peanut's abandoned bowl in Kabul, when Elvis summoned him for the briefing about Omar>
