Changed the name of this thread as we were very upset with the ending of series 3 out in Bangladesh! Waiting out for news of series 4 and hoping it might not be long now. In the meantime, we are reviewing the seven series of Soldier Soldier.

And here we have Michael packing his suitcase. Even that suitcase looks incredibly dated! I used to have one with a similar pattern.

Is he confident Marsha will have him back again?

Well, that was rather easily resolved in the end. I think I'd have made him sweat it out a lot more than that, Marsha.

I've answered my own question there, Marsha and Michael are back together it seems.

I'm probably going to go and see it. I'm at an airport on Thursday morning which somebody has kindly told me is a "melting pot" for the coronavirus. It's so difficult to know how much to believe. I'm of the opinion that the media are just whipping us all up into a frenzy. I'm concerned, yes, but we still have to live as normally as possible.

Yes, I'm not deliberately going out of my way to avoid everyone and everything, but there are other issues to do with work and my family, that make me wary of doing anything I don't need to do. In general, I think we ought to be ok going about our normal business with other people around, but handwashing frequently and just being a bit more conscious of what we are touching is definitely a good idea.

When would you like to do the next episode Ilove? I'm ok most days.

Shall we say Tuesday, then? Wonder when OG is starting. It can't be much longer. I never understand why TV stations are so secretive about broadcasting the actual dates.

A bit of googling led me to a tweet from someone suggesting 25th March (two weeks tomorrow) might be right.

Yes, would be great if eejit can be with us, especially with the new series coming up. Looks like we'll get some Elvis flashbacks - who knows maybe, just maybe, we could even get that Dallas style shower scenario

Rhu don't know if you've seen it or not but it looks like you've got your wish for Season 4. Digital spy has an article today where Tony Grounds has filled in the background story for this new season. In it he explains that Captain James has left the army and has gone back to try and make things work with Molly. Georgie apparently supports him in this and carries on in the army (several flashbacks of Elvis so that will please his fans). 👏

Thanks for the info magi and ilove. I am delighted with that scenario and have to say it feels right. Sounds like TG will win most fans over with that back story. I will watch with interest and do hope Georgie has a happy ending.

Let's hope CJ and Molly do work it out and have their HEA. Perhaps TG got the message from all of us CJ and Molly fans!

Hi Kazza I reckon TG must have been aware of the feelings of lots of OG fans because when it all went wrong (as far as we felt anyway) lots of us were pretty vocal about it! He started using Instagram a lot in the last year and on there it was obvious how fed up we all were. Whether we'll hear my more about our two favourite characters after this series is doubtful I think. Still this little crumb of info has cheered me up 😃

Yep, if we do hear anything, it will be a passing comment no doubt. But it's better than nothing if it means CJ stays with Molly rather than the car crash that was Lane

Hi kazza, long time no speak. Agreed TG must have taken on board what we've complained about.

Wonder if there will be any further series? I think somebody from East Enders had been mentioned to take over but maybe that's just speculation. I think if it carries on, it needs a different slant on things to keep it 'fresh'.

I'm on holiday at the moment. Still classed as GB but flying home soon. Hope nothing happens to close airports before we return home!

Thank goodness we got back home ok. Another week and I bet the flights would have been cancelled.

It feels an almost surreal situation, maybe like some weird zombie film.

eejit it would be lovely if you are able to join us tomorrow and we'll all have some new OG stuff to digest in just over a week and some nice Elvis moments, I hope.

It's all a bit crazy, scary and unnerving at the moment. I'm working from home now, it's not going to be easy all the time but it will kind of work. DD called to say her university is effectively shutting. DH is going to fetch her home on Wednesday because we didn't want her to use the train and she'd be advised to bring us of stuff home. Who knows what the best thing to do is? Turbulent times ahead.

Glad you're home OK Ilove as you say probably in the nick of time. Well I am now (cos of my great age) in splendid isolation. Have my DH of course so do have someone to talk to (lol). One son and family live next door so we are fine for any help we need. More worrying for older people who are entirely on their own. Anyway am now looking forward to OG starting next week as I am sure you lovely ladies will do repeat watchalongs accompanied by your usual pithy and salient comments. Also very likely fanfic writers will spring into action too and produce more reading matter.
