I thought Sally looked pregnant last week! Thought I was imagining things

So Bet, Reg and Andy are leaving imminently then? Shame, they’re all good characters.

Why do all of the men on the street - such as Don and Jack - walk around the house and eat their breakfast wearing vests?

I don't think Andy leaves for a few years yet?Fiona really an irritating character ,yes I get she's been cheated on but it's not everybody else's fault

The vest wearing is a good point, Tenebrae. Maybe so they don't drop breakfast down their clean shirt? Everyone in Corrie land seems to eat a fry up every morning. Only oddballs eat muesli.

And why did Josie want to get to know Gail,s kids she has a very tenuous link to the family ,she's the new partner of Gail,s ex mother in law estranged husband they are not really Don,s Grandchildren although he does play a Grandparent role and David isn't even ivy,s Grandson .

Ah yes, the breakfasts! Also, so many people smoke on the Street. I felt so sorry for Vicky, having to have smoke blown in her face over breakfast with the Gilroys. It's extraordinary how quickly attitudes and habits around smoking have changed so relatively quickly.

Isn,t it just Tenebrae I can't remember when the change started late 90,s maybe ?When i first qualified as a mental health Nurse in the mid 90,s patients could smoke in the main dayroom ( which must have been awful for non smokers) and staff had their own smoke room ,now I believe it's a totally smoke free trust .

My ds and dd2 were born early nineties, five years apart. The day ward was the de facto smoking room when ds arrived; when dd2 arrived mus had to smoke outside (in December!) The smoking ban in Ireland was 2004 for pubs, cafes, workplaes etc.

I remember him being a lot stranger. His voice is very different. I like all the normal coming and going more than the intense modern drama, I can't imagine watching the current episodes in the afternoon!

The lad that plays Jamie ,is by far the best child actor in corrie he puts the others to shame .

Does anyone else think Alec has seamlessly slotted back in? Looking back now, I underrated the character and the actor. He and Bet play off one another perfectly.

I love it when we see great characters have humble beginnings, as we’re seeing now with Roy. Imagine if it was like today when people in social media were screaming ‘Terrible character, get RID!!’ after a couple of episodes.

According to Wikipedia, so it must be true, Roy Cropper was approx 46 in real life in the picture.

He does look a lot younger

I think he’s sort of ageless because of the whole ‘beige head to toe’ look. It’s much easier to guess a person’s age if their clothes, hairstyles etc. give an indication.

Kevin (and the scriptwriters) seem to have long since forgotten ‘our Carl’!

So Roy is supposed to be almost 80 now?

Don’t know how old Roy's supposed to be, the actor who plays him was 46 at the time the picture was taken and is now 72
