Hi guys sorry I’ve not been on for a while. I’ve been watching increasingly crossly. When does Audrey stop being so selfish? I remember Denise being a great character, I got that wrong, she is just awful. I can’t stand Vicky, why is she suddenly a serious business investor because she’s got a lot of money and a posh voice? No wonder Tracy Barlow turns out to be a vile obnoxious bitch, with such a witch for a mother! I love it really but my goodness they are an ‘Orrible lot.

Dh and I agreed that Tracy had a lot to get her head around. I thought Vicky was about 18, she's about 35 in attitude.

Tbf @Mammatino Tracy,s been a bit of a bitch for a while ,whilst I think it's unfair Deirdre is treating her the way she is greif does strange things to people ,I think.Audrey change,s after Alf dies?And I don't hink.Vicky is being very foolish with her money ,Steve clearly doesn't give a shit about her but she's trying to buy him and I know she got £270,000 but even in the 90,s that wouldn't have lasted forever

I thought Tracy was a bit of a troubled teen but having your mum hate you (irrationally) has to mess you up. Audrey must get nicer after poor old Alf dies, we can only hope. I just thought Vicky coming straight out of school, making a bad investment with Steve, doing a few weeks on a business course then being Alma’s go to girl was a bit funny. Even though Fiona, queen of the strops, is a huffy nightmare she is actually running the salon and has more business experience than Vicky. Maybe that’s a clever juxtaposition between Steve’s two love interests that the writers stealthily put in there...or probably not. It’s really not is it?

It annoyed me how Audrey used to reminisce about Alfie with tears in her eyes etc but she treated him like shit throughout their marriage.

I love the idea of the love interests in juxtaposition - it would be a great compare and contrast question. And Samir dying but living on in Tracey also. Amazing themes.

I watched an episode of Lewis yesterday and Fiona has barely aged.

Putting a trailer for current episodes in the classics is poor form. The shop was lovely when Maureen ran it.

One of the crappest actor was Betty. She was truly shocking and had even fewer facial expressions than Ken.

Non of them seem to have comfy furniture tbh and the trend for the dining table in the middle of the lounge would make me not want to relax there of an evening , I remember my mum and Dads very flowery suite in the 90,s whilst it would be very dated now was at least comfortable.
