Getting fed up of Samir and Deirdre now. Emily was right "he is a child" wouldn't even listen to anyone who was trying to help him and was insulting to them. he keeps saying he did nothing wrong, but he worked illegally, so technically did do something wrong. He just had to not work whilst on his holiday visa, get married and then he'd be okay to stay and work legally.Acted like a petulant teen. He'd be totally screwed nowadays with the salary rules for foreign spouses.

I felt it was a bit of a lacklustre Christmas episode. Don't like the Jack's brother story line either.

Is Deirdre living in Uncle Albert's old house? If so where is Ken living? I keep missing months of episodes.

Are all the books in Deirdre's sitting room, hers or did Ken leave them behind? I can't imagine Deirdre being much of a reader.

He was every bit as bad. Multiple marriages, affairs, children he never saw. He & Ken were more alike than either would like to admit

Mike had an evil grin, Ken was just smug. Ken and Mike were alike really, you're right.

Mike was very kind last week, though, when he took Deirdre to the airport to collect Samir.

I thought last weeks' scripts were unusually exceptionally good. So I made a point of watching the end credits to see who the writer was.

When I saw who it was, everything made sense.

Perhaps Mike was being kind to annoy "Barlow." Although I think he has still has feelings for Deirdre. He could be there if it all goes wrong.

I think he was fond of Deirdre in a way, but the potential to needle Ken was strong!

The Deirdre and Samir relationship is so unrealistic it destroys the story completely. I know they were going for shock value but if they'd just made him a few years older, mid to late twenties rather than early twenties, and cast a more experienced actor it would have been so much better.

I think Samir was a bit hard on the residents saying they weren't kind to Deirdre. He seems to forget how kind Mike has been (limo to wedding, lift to airport,money etc) how Bet threw them a wedding reception in the pub, Samir has had lots of drinks bought for him, Liz had them to dinner etc... it could have been a lot worse. Samir already has plans for Deirdre's money.

I think I was only watching sporadically when these episodes were shown originally so don't know all the storylines.

Did they go to Morocco? I missed it yesterday. My dh is working from home a lot and for some reason doesn't approve because I have seen this all before.

Yes gone to Morocco, my dh can think what he likes, I love it ! 100% better than latest Corrie

I think it's too distracting from dhs important work, that Des Barnes was a one.

Des is awful he doesn't love Raquel at all he just doesn't want her to be with Curly ,dh doesn't like me watching it too he gets drawn in ,I record it and watch it at leisure ! Nicky is a shockingly bad actor.

Agree that Des is horrible. He was so cruel with his pranks on Derek and to Raquel.
My H is another one isn't keen on me watching. I don't get to veto his Death in Paradise binges at full volume though.
