Lynne Perrie’s autobiography is fascinating. She was - at that time- in a joyless marriage, her son had been diagnosed with HIV, she wasn’t getting on with Geoff Hinsliff. I can see why she went off the rails. She clearly thought that she was pals with lots of her colleagues, but I read that Helen Worth and Warren Jackson were the only cast members who turned up to her funeral. In fairness, she wasn’t very nice about a lot of them - she loathed Chloe Newsome, she disparaged Elizabeth Dawn’s marriage, bitched about Betty Driver, criticised Warren Jackson for not mentoring newbie kids, criticised Kevin Kennedy’s looks, and alleged that Julie Goodyear had wanted to have a fling with her. An explosive book.
Steve has aged five years overnight.
Would the estate agent/solicitor not have checked that the Holdsworths were authorised to sell the house? Is that not something they do? I haven’t moved for nearly 20 years but I recall having to provide lots of paperwork.
Eva Pope left to have her daughter in “94 I think. We’ll only be seeing shots of her behind the bar and sitting at the table, soon! Great character, well acted, I’ll miss her.
I loathe Maud. Selfish. I can’t drum up much sympathy. Another well-acted character though. I like her scenes with Percy.
