I remember DJJ saying he could only be as good as Amy’s choreography. Er, no... you could only be as good as your dancing which clearly wasn’t as brilliant as you thought it was

So glad Michelle is through.
I voted for her.
I want her in the final.
I had never heard of her before.
I think she is a fabulous sport. She's a lot older than the other female celebs. She's not young, skinny , incredibly flexible not typically good looking.
I also would love Gio to win, he is my favourite male pro.

It's a refreshlng change to hear someone say they are competitive and want to win, it's a dance competirion!
Dance competitions are brutal.

Phew right decision although surprised Michelle was even in the DO.

Mike took his exit with grace and his conga has sent him up in my estimation tbh!

Been thinking about Shell Face and all the other great older dancers and I feel like they might do better if their professional dancers were older too. Shell does a good job but I can't imagine summoning up some chemistry with a man child who just told you you looked like his grandmother was particularly easy.

But wouldn't the alternative be Anton? I think if he'd have been given Michelle, he'd have tried to go down the comedy route & I think she would have hated it.

I’ve checked social media & gossip sites and am now becoming a tad obsessed.

I wasn't sure if they were going to edit the dismount during their final dance so I was going to tell you what a mess it was!

In the Clauditorium when she was interviewing Kelvin, Emma and Chris it all went a bit wrong. Both Kelvin and Chris mentioned 'tonight's' dances instead of 'Saturday nights'. The second time she interviewed Kelvin he completely messed up his words when he was telling her they were doing a Jive, so the third time she asked Oti instead! They massively edited Chris' bit as he told us he would be doing a Salsa next week and made a joke about not wanting to do it after seeing Kelvin's tonight.

It occurred to me that Amy had a very busy night last night. She did the Luke Evans performance, then the live show. Then they recorded the group dance and then the results. Four outfit changes!

I'm not sure why Luke had to sing three times, the first take seemed to be perfect, the second one was cut off after about 30 seconds (Luke wasn't happy to be stopped!). Then they did it a third time all the way through.

There was genuine shocked gasps in the studio when Michelle was announced in the DO. JV looked pissed off when the cameras were off. Michelle didn't want to watch Mike's dance at the side, I heard JV tell her it would look wrong if she didn't.

The kid who was in the group dance is 13 (!) and has just landed a role playing Harry Potter in the West End.

Oh and the first Tess and Claudia link had to be recorded twice because Tess said 'Bring it Home' instead of 'Bring Him Home'. She argued with them that she said it right the first time but they made her do it again.

GOOD GOD not Anton. But surely there are some amazing older dancers out there who could partner older celebs.

Oh and yes they told us NOT to cheer the dancing during Luke's song and the group dance.

Best ending to a Strictly episode EVER - I had tears in my eyes from laughing at Katya trying to dismount from Mike's head and the conga was just awesome!

To whoever said about the golden doughnuts during Luke's performance, I was mesmerised by them as I thought they looked exactly like giant fruit polos (can you even buy them anymore??)

I mentioned earlier Michelle's arrogance in her ITT interview, and whether it was a factor in people not voting for her this week. I couldn't remember exactly what she said so I YouTube'd it. It's a fairly long segment - she says one thing about her technique being pushed further than others about half way through, and then says the thing about us seeing her doing a level of posture that hasn't been seen on Strictly before at about the 5:50 mark:

Michelle specifically wanted Gio - to the extent I did wonder whether that was a prerequisite to her signing up like Widdy requesting Anton.
I think Gio is good at training partners but has yet to have an actual duffer, Laura wasn't in that category, they just didn't gel. He should have had Anastacia that year.
When I think of how many Brenda got that looked good on paper but were shite (Cyclist, Kirsty, woman from breakfast) Gio has had a charmed life so far.
