I was born and raised within spitting distance of the cockle sheds at Leigh-on-sea. They can be gritty but are sort of rubbery and taste of salt water unless you drown them in vinegar and black pepper. Not slimy at all and definitely not snotty. Great between two slices of cheap white bread buttered,

Someone said Ottolenghi has five telly. Does anyone know when and where?

He did a couple of very good series on Channel 4 and a few programmes on BBC 4 but I don't think any of them are still around to watch, unfortunately.

Yotam has a column in the Guardian too. I love his food but his recipes always have a million ingredients.

I was asleep and missed it and missed The Apprentice so will have to catch up.

I'm going to BURST!! We decided to go with takeaway and wine by the fire instead given Lorenzo. We went to an Asian place. I got duck spring rolls and bang bang chicken. The SIZE of the portions. Like I said. I am going. To. BURST!!

Ahhh thanks so much you lovely lot, you really are too kind. The weekend was an amazing weekend of surprises and so much fun. It’s been an absolute whirlwind of a week for me, we are also buying a house atm (gluttons for punishment) so tonight I’m being cooked dinner and we are watching a film. I’ll catch up on MC over the weekend cos I’m a few episodes behind and join you again on Monday.

@ShirleyPhallus thanks for asking. I think I am finally over the back of it. I'm on my last day of the antibiotics thankfully (the size of the buggers). I have an odd taste in my mouth still (but I have been a bit off lately - belly ache - and it doesn't taste the same as it did when the infection started. It tastes sweet). I managed to eat properly which was good.

Settling in. Watching repeat of Escape to the Chateau with Dick preparing a 9 course wedding banquet.

Evening all. It seems ages since I've been able to watch live.

Evening, watched Wednesdays on catchup yesterday and wished I'd fastforwarded through the first half.

EEp Potter I have 4 strategically placed tiger striped garden spiders hanging off shed and washing line but so far only one monster (maybe cos of the 3 big dogs).
