Is anyone else watching?
Couldn't see another thread for it. I'm hoping it's going to be good.

Me - I'm watching.

But already pissued off at the pretence that they didn't know the task, or that they'd be in teams - yet they all turned up with their mood boards.

Frank - early frontrunner for Top Twat.

TheSpottedZebra · 14/08/2019 20:12

I'm predicting lots of yellow, bright blue, and Mid Century Modern (MCM).

weebarra · 14/08/2019 20:12

Not Ju?

TheSpottedZebra · 14/08/2019 20:13

Nicki looks familiar - has she been on telly before?

covetingthepreciousthings · 14/08/2019 20:15

Ooh yep there's the MCM @TheSpottedZebra Wink

covetingthepreciousthings · 14/08/2019 20:15

Aren't the show homes just going to look a completely mish mash mess though...

OP posts:
TheSpottedZebra · 14/08/2019 20:18

I had to Google to see which one Ju is, weebarra. Yep, she's one to watch!

Yy, coveting - yes to mish mash. But one mentioned a brief, so I guess there must have been one?

BuckingFrolics · 14/08/2019 20:23

It ticks me off that they want to call themselves interior designers yet what they're doing is simply bunging their own style in someone else's house.

Plus they're all young and cliched

covetingthepreciousthings · 14/08/2019 20:26

Did they have budgets?

OP posts:
blodynmawr · 14/08/2019 20:26

Much twattage so far...
Loving every minute Smile

Cambionome · 14/08/2019 20:26

What happened to the (slightly similar) design programme that used to be on? Had Kelly Hoppen as a judge, but apart from that was quite enjoyable!

covetingthepreciousthings · 14/08/2019 20:26

It's like the Apprentice but less twattage (thanks for that word Grin)

TheSpottedZebra · 14/08/2019 20:26

Ffs Trish. It's paint. It has one job - to the colour that you want.So just choose the colour that you want.

OK, am warming to frank

Halsall · 14/08/2019 20:27

I'm in. Just wondering what 'boozhy sophistication' might be. Any guesses?

Well, that's what I thought he said Hmm

BuckingFrolics · 14/08/2019 20:27

Panellin
Tickin
Paintin

Argh ....

weebarra · 14/08/2019 20:28

I'm glad 11 year old DS1 isn't watching. We're moving in 2 weeks and he wants a black room!

BuckingFrolics · 14/08/2019 20:29

My living room is pink :). I'm more on trend than I realised.

Halsall · 14/08/2019 20:30

Oh, apparently it's 'bougie'. Meaning fancy.

I'm an old gimmer though and not down with da kidz so how should I know?

covetingthepreciousthings · 14/08/2019 20:30

According to Urban Dictionary, "boujee" means, "High class, flossin', ballin'. One who possesses swag. Elite, rich." But it's actually a stylized version of the already-stylized word "bougie," which is an abbreviation of the word "bourgeois."

Maybe this ?

OP posts:
TheSpottedZebra · 14/08/2019 20:31

Bouji, Halsall a yoof word that has totally changed its original meaning.

BuckingFrolics · 14/08/2019 20:32

Team support. Also known as riding on the back of another

TheSpottedZebra · 14/08/2019 20:33

Ha, I can't spell even though I actually can in English and French.
We'll, it's probably post modern or pomo or something.

Will pomo get a mention on this series?

TheSpottedZebra · 14/08/2019 20:35

Cambio it's so SO similar isn't it? Except that was all residential and this is commercial.
And is obviously a new home for Fearne.

weebarra · 14/08/2019 20:35

So if you put a teal cushion in every room it pulls it all together?

Halsall · 14/08/2019 20:36

Yep, that's it! Thanks both. I don't have teenagers. Clearly I'm hopelessly behind the curve Grin

Cambionome I suspect this is the revamped version of the Interior Design Challenge, which I used to love. The woman judge on there pops up on here - I saw her on one of the trailers.
