Yup - pink living room guy now gone!

I just watched this, I liked Michele Duh.... she's less up herself than the last woman judge. I agreed with them about the black bedroom and especially the pink living room with strange arches on the wall, what were they about? I wouldn't choose a new house with those. Well if I did I'd remove them and or paint over them with a better colour.

We didn't see them making things for their rooms, (or did I doze off while I watched!!) I hate all those things from heavily advertised, made in China web sites, like those gold flamingoes , they made the bedroom look cheap and nasty not at all sophisticated. Who's guessing that guy is the next one to go ?

Isn't it about making the houses marketable? Cripes.

Really missing Great Interior Design Challenge....

I loved the old programme but can't resist this. I saw the Dorsett Hotel on the opening sequence. Every time we drive round Shepherd's Bush green and go past it, one of us has to yell "you can't polish a turd". However swanky, it's still the Bush

I watched this yesterday and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to next week.

@Davros, you can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter! I expect that might be the approach some of them take....

I loved the Great Interior Design Challenge and miss it, but I quite liked this. Both DH and I like interior design, although we're no good at it ourselves, so it's interesting to see what people come up with.

Loathed the pink living room but liked the other one with the grey panelling - it looked a bit safe but also warm and cosy. I liked Frank's main bedroom as well. Suspect he and Ju are really going to clash which will be entertaining!

Yes Black bedroom Nikki looked extremely put out when Michele told her that design is not about what SHE likes!!!!. she must be dim.

I've just found the contestants on Instagram, worth a look at their accounts.

@teriantilston_interiordesign - included the brief in a post which was
"Create a luxurious, contemporary, exclusive space", they also had a budget of £1,500.

@jeromegardnerhome - his house is amazing, I love his style.

@andthentheywentwild - Nicki , can see why she did a black room, I actually love some of her rooms on her page.

I'm not surprised the pink living room guy left, it wasn't great at all.

Loved the first episode. Also liked the idea of teams.

Decorating a room/house in your own style is not what an interior designer does. Wonder how long it will take some of them to realise this.

Have any of these people ever been in a show house?
Does anyone know where Ju got the floral wallpaper from? Ilove it.

The pink arches were ridiculous. Quite liked the black bedroom though (although completely inappropriate).
