Love Island Season 2 Re-Watch

Looks like we have two months to catch this on ITV Hub before they disappear again.

May I suggest that we start each post in bold with the episode being discussed? Like, Episode 1 ? And try to discuss episodes at a similar rate, so we're not discussing episode 10 within the first 20 posts?

I’m watching it, currently on episode 35. Won’t add any spoilers - I’ve found some episodes interminably dull. There are very few challenges so it’s a lot of sitting around chatting.

I’ve never felt Sophie really fitted in with any of it so wondered what her motivation for going on it was. Agree with PP - every time Tom came on screen, I just groaned and hoped they’d move on quick.

Don’t like Olivia at all. Kady hasn’t annoyed me as much as some PPs. At times she’s been very kind to people but she is a stirrer.

Episode 24 oh my god! The public just voted out their least popular woman and I can't believe it! I thought the producers would give the islanders the bottom 3 to choose from. But no, they actually went with the vote.

Lilyofthefields yes the producers really shot themselves in the foot with that vote - they could have got the islanders to choose - they would never have chosen Malin. I think there was a lot more mileage in the Terry/Malin relationship - I think it would have disintegrated and it would have been interesting viewing.

Episode 27 and Tom's behaviour is really worrying. So irresponsible of the programme. Poor Sophie.

I agree, I truly believe she was scared of him, he gets worse as the series goes on IMO, plays with her mind so much.

Episode 32 dumping, where one from each of the two bottom couples has to go. Tom. Is. Losing. His. Nut.

I am watching S3 now, it is funny seeing that LI thread on MN too, everyone is so wrong about which couples last outside the villa, same with S2.

Just finished watching the whole series - no spoilers! Thought it was much better than series 5 which was the first one is ever watched. My favourite couple won 💛. I found it fascinating to watch with hindsight knowing what happened to some of the islanders after they left. At the very end after the credits they dedicated the series to Sophie and put up a beautiful picture of her. I just burst into tears 😞

I agree it is a much better series than S5. I have watched S3 and on S1 now. I think the 3 early ones are all better than S4 and 5 for various reasons.
