New thread, no spoilers, it makes the spoiler thread feel obsolete.

Totally agree.

He was totally honest about where he was, Roxy was clearly honest about it too and assumed Dippi knew so clearly it was a late night assignation for sexy time in the city

That was a rather hastily filmed scene about the bushfires

Stellaris22 · 15/01/2020 17:37

They had to mention it, but it didn't really flow with the episode. I was wondering if it would affect where they are.

SleepingStandingUp · 15/01/2020 18:26

I think they just needed to get something in quickly, presumably they'll do something else for the fundraiser but I guess they wanted it simple to reduce processiny speed. Must be a nightmare adding stuff in.

Uugghhh dso Shane has conceded he shouldn't be friends with Roxy and is now ghosting her. Can you imagine if was done with Dipi and Gary instead?

I think the MN jury would be on her side tho.
He's having an emotional affair hun, LTB, he's obviously going to sleep with her etc

Elly and Finn are annoying me at the moment.
I get that new mothers do suffer with depression and get anxiety when they have to deal with baby on their own. But seriously Aaron and David are in the same house and have offered to help.
Finn sneaking around to help Elly is frustrating

WhoAteAllTheDinosaurs · 15/01/2020 19:56

Frankly Elly's problems would lessen if she just shoved her boobs in that baby's mouth a bit more!

SleepingStandingUp · 15/01/2020 20:46

For the H&Aers I'm happy to see how much little Grace is being fed. Robbo needs to video call Elly and give her some advice!!

OP posts:
AGnu · 15/01/2020 21:25

Did I imagine it or was Elly's nursing bra done up while she was "feeding" the baby? She might want to start there if she's trying to figure out why her baby cries so much... She may have just been using it as an excuse to get out of tidying up though. "Oh... Sorry about the mess... I'll get on that when I'm done feeding..." Something I said regularly when I had a newborn! Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 16/01/2020 00:35

Yup, totally was. Poor Aster. Robbo should have her, I bet she'd like to live by the sea

Elly was telling everyone how much of a breastfeeding pro she was in week one. What did she think she was meant to do?

woodhill · 16/01/2020 16:56

They could make it look like she is actually feeding the baby. It is really annoying with her in the lounge.

Just bring the baby into your bed and feed her

Samcro · 16/01/2020 17:01

Can someone tell me why susan has not told karl about ellie/finn, even when karl was tallking about building a cranny flat.

MiddleClassProblem · 16/01/2020 20:42

Because Susan is actually quite snidey but she’ll make an excuse about either protecting them/Bea or thinking it would blow over when everyone finds out.

SleepingStandingUp · 16/01/2020 21:32

Re Elly, I'm assuming they're too cheap to do the set work to allow her to ever rest in her bedroom. She always paced around the living room at the Kennedys too, I largely assumed it to be for attention so someone would notice her.

Yup, Susan will take the moral high ground on protecting everyone when the shot eventually hits the Finn

OP posts:
AGnu · 16/01/2020 23:47

I assumed Susan hadn't told Karl because she knows he couldn't keep quiet about it. & Surely Elly prances around in the living room because it's a little bit further away from everyone else's bedrooms so as to disturb them less.

What I don't understand is why Susan is so hell-bent on keeping Finn & Elly apart when they clearly want to be together. Wouldn't the sensible, mature thing be for her to encourage Finn to be honest with Bea, or at the very least tell him he has to pick a sister rather than choosing for him?! Or perhaps he should have some sort of counseling session or a chat with David or something... It's an interesting issue - everyone sees him as a 30-something adult but he sees himself as a 19yo & therefore presumably has the maturity of a 19yo but he won't have the same hormone levels as an average 19yo so perhaps we should expect him to make more rational decisions... But then... He did just propose to his girlfriend as overcompensation for his crush on her sister - not exactly the mature, rational thing to do!

Perhaps Elly will freak out when she hears about the proposal & try to run Finn over... Wouldn't be the first time she drove at an ex! He could hit his head & turn into Lizard Lips again just in time for the 35th anniversary. Maybe he could actually succeed in killing a few people this time round - Mea can be all noble & forgive Elly for having feelings for Finn/running him over while they cower in a classroom at the school for some inexplicable reason & then Mea can charge at Finn resulting in them both dying & Elly deciding it's too painful to stay in Erinsborough so she takes Aster to live with Liz & we'll be done with the lot of them. Who else can we get rid of?!

woodhill · 17/01/2020 13:33

Sanctimonious Susan gets on my nerves.

She always has the upper hand i.e. Carl, her sister, Therese etc.

Only Sheila seems to suss her out

SleepingStandingUp · 17/01/2020 14:38

I think Aster hates Elly.

She's ALWAYS asleep when anyone else has her, but if you ask Elly she never sleeps, can't put her down etc.

And now supposedly she's bf-ing and pumping?

OP posts:
BessMarvin · 19/01/2020 15:08

The whole baby thing is annoying me. Maybe irrationally because I'm bfing a 3 month old who won't nap in a cot and the only break I get is having a shower, but Aster is what 2 weeks old? Apparently breastfeeding, without ever actually doing so, seemingly happily on a bottle for an entire night. And are the guidelines different in Australia as here they are supposed to sleep in the same room until 6 months, but elly is wandering around with a monitor?

woodhill · 19/01/2020 15:30

Yes just so unrealistic and the fact she went out for hours after not bothering with her all night yet supposedly breast feeding? Come on....

SleepingStandingUp · 19/01/2020 16:18

I feel like there's too many Mom's of new babies on here for this baby nonsense.
In H&A thry keep putting Grace to nap in her cot in their bedroom too, but he does spend a lot of time with babe in arms feeding her huge bottles of milk so I'll let Robbo off

OP posts:
AGnu · 19/01/2020 16:43

That's when he's not carting her around in her car seat with a muslin thrown over the top... Pretty sure the advice is not to do that because the baby could overheat!

My 2yo was in the room when I was watching Neighbours the other day & started saying "baby Pasta cry-nin'" so that's what I'm calling her now! Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 19/01/2020 16:56

At least she's being fed. I'm contemplating Aussie SS for poor hungry Pasta!!

I wasn't sure if there were different guidelines in Aus cos of the sun and heat, maybe they're special Muslins 😂😂

OP posts:
woodhill · 19/01/2020 17:23

I haven't seen her be fed at all.

At least they could make it look like Ellie was feeding with a blanket over her.

Just Ellie continually walking around with baby Pasta

SleepingStandingUp · 19/01/2020 18:49

She fed through her bra a few times.

OP posts:
MiddleClassProblem · 20/01/2020 09:14

Maybe she has some special milk osmosis bra. Elly genuinely has more help with her baby that anyone I have ever known. They all keep telling her she does so much and is an amazing mum... For trying to cope on her own once through a night but didn’t and probably only lasted half an hour...
