New thread, no spoilers, it makes the spoiler thread feel obsolete.

Still trying to work out Robert's plan! Sure he will try to escape.

Smidge001 · 24/12/2019 19:29

I don't get the anti Kyle speak on here. Grin I think he's been completely genuine and I don't understand why Amy is being such an arse to him.

She wanted kids! They were all loved up and bonded over their shared vision of the future. They were together for a couple of years before weren't they, and Amy was perfectly happy for him to be a full time parent to Jimmy back then. And yet now she's being really arsey to him over trying to continue that relationship. Even when they split up Kyle kept in touch with Jimmy as far as I remember. He's been quite a stable parent in his life!

And she's just being really horrible to him. I don't get it. Why did the writers bring them back together just to break them up again? It makes no sense. Surely she could have realised what a mistake Gary was without Kyle coming back to be the catalyst.

woodhill · 24/12/2019 20:43

Amy takes Kyle for granted and had Gary running around after her

CurbsideProphet · 24/12/2019 21:56

I don't think Amy can ever forgive Kyle for the class action against Lassiter's / injuring Dr Booboo.

More baddie music again for Robert today. He wants to punish Paul. Again. Paul might find himself down the well.

AndWhatNext · 24/12/2019 21:59

I really like Dr Boo Boo and would be upset if he dies.

SleepingStandingUp · 24/12/2019 22:56

@Smidge001 Tbh, her brother might die because her bf hit him, didn't realise and left because he Was so tired because he's suing her father in a class action.
Then in the middle of that, despite her living with his dad/ her ex and his Nan and NOT him, he suggests they have a baby. Then he calls Jimmy and calls him a tool and doesn't mention it to her cos he's more worried about their relationship than Jimmy

I mean, I agree Re why get them back together etc and I think if it wasn't for the above she'd have been up for babies but it us a lot

Clawdy · 24/12/2019 23:13

I knew Robert would escape! Can't believe the staff wouldn't have made absolutely sure he swallowed the pre-op drugs, even if he wasn't a dangerous prisoner!

Smidge001 · 24/12/2019 23:37

I think kyle asked her to move in with him quite a few times but Amy said she couldn't leave Gary so soon or something. And hitting her brother was an accident...his fault entirely I agree, but he owned it straight away. I kind of understand him wanting to get justice for the people who were affected by the camera too. I think he wanted some control back. I mean, it's not just her that was impacted by being filmed. He's allowed to deal with things differently - and in fact I was quite impressed with neighbours actually allowing them to deal with it in different ways and still be a couple... For all of 2 minutes Grin.

I think he told Jimmy not to act like a tool, rather than that he out and out was one. I see a subtle difference - bit like calling someone a completr idiot rather than that they were doing something idiotic. And tool is a very mild thing to say in Aus. My husband tells his daughter not to be a turkey all the time, and I'd put tool in a similar category. And this coming from one of the biggest haters of neighbours' new sweariness. Grin. But I agree, if he thought Jimmy was missing, he should have told her.

I'm not sure why I'm suddenly all defensive over Kyle though!! Maybe coz Amy should have been down the well ages ago, so should be grateful for still being given air time and therefore basically be a bit nicer to everyone around her Wink. Or maybe I just can't stand the passive agressive stuff she's pulling. If you don't want to be with him, just tell him. Stop being such a cow about it.

KatieKat88 · 25/12/2019 08:51

So I'm predicting some kind of siege situation where Ellie is inevitably there and goes into labour? Really enjoying the pantomime bad guy music for Robert. I'm sure I was watching Neighbours when the plane crash storyline happened but I can remember absolutely nothing about it! At least Harlow will shut up about being nice to her clearly evil dad now...

Samcro · 25/12/2019 09:35

amy is awful. she is horrid to Kyle and he should dump her.

SleepingStandingUp · 25/12/2019 19:11

Agree Amy needs to woman up and dump him, but he's picked the absolute worst time to push the whole baby thing.
Look your Dad hates me, your brother might die (accidentally my fault) and we don't even live together but let's try for a baby.
No.
OK ill get your teenager to come over and emotionally manipulate you into wanting more.

I hope that baby didn’t have it’s eyes open all the way out

SleepingStandingUp · 25/12/2019 21:14

Oh no I'm behind, I was pumping milk for Harold and Lou's breakfast!!
Is it as big as Gabe???

OP posts:
MiddleClassProblem · 25/12/2019 21:47

No, not as big as Gabe. He had holy powers to aid his growth. But it does arrive looking shocked 😂

SleepingStandingUp · 26/12/2019 01:32

Cos she realised she had Elly for a Mom??

"
Harold and Lou were nearly 7lb each at 36 weeks, I have new appreciation for Gabe!!

OP posts:
MiddleClassProblem · 26/12/2019 09:50

Yowza. Are they talking yet? Maybe we could have a spin off show with Gabezilla.

SleepingStandingUp · 26/12/2019 11:38

They make enough noise!! Ooogh yeah, giant babies across the world!!

OP posts:
CurbsideProphet · 26/12/2019 13:52

I'm watching the double bill of Christmas and Boxing Day episodes back to back.

Elly's baby is remarkably alert for a newborn straight out of the oven. They've obviously brushed over the issue of the placenta.

I had to put subtitles on for the baby's name. I've never heard of Aster Confused

I can't really remember who Robert killed in the plane crash or why he hates Paul so much. I mean, Paul's not the best dad but this is extreme.

SleepingStandingUp · 26/12/2019 22:53

Omg that baby was clean, alert and QUIET!!

OP posts:
BreconBeBuggered · 27/12/2019 01:25

It was Harold Bishop's son and his family who died in the plane crash, wasn't it? I'd have to look up why everyone on the plane didn't die along with them, and even then. it probably wouldn't make any sense.

1plus2equalstrouble · 27/12/2019 03:52

OK so I predict everyone will find out about Roxy and she'll end up moving in with Sheila or Shane and Dipi will go mad at him for a secret even though we all know she'd have blabbed.

Flashinggreen · 27/12/2019 07:59

I didn’t watch it when it was the evil Robert bit. Need to catch up on yesterday’s today, hooray!

KatieKat88 · 27/12/2019 12:04

My baby is 7 weeks old and only now do I fully appreciate the BS version of labour/babies on screen 😂 the issue of the placenta really bothered me too! DH (another avid Neighbours fan - converted in part by me and in part due to the ridiculousness of the Fake Dee storyline) said 'well that's not a newborn!' It also annoyed me that they made out like Elly was finding breastfeeding easy so quickly - my experience and that of everyone I've spoken to is that it takes bloody ages and a fair amount of support to get right, but I didn't appreciate that before having a baby because you never see it being challenging. But then I realised you actually don't see or hear much about breastfeeding on tv full stop, so at least they are showing it? Don't know if I'm just being overly sensitive about it at the moment!

MiddleClassProblem · 27/12/2019 14:42

Also that the only thing keep Elly up at night was her deciding to check on the baby... not feeds, not not settling, not wind, not nappies etc.
