New thread, no spoilers, it makes the spoiler thread feel obsolete.

Ok i am going to be mean, but omg david is boring.
He is boring normally, but sick david is just dire.
Can't they just bump him off.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 13/12/2019 20:05

I agree. I suspect he will get a kidney, and will be back at work in days.

QueenOfTheFae · 14/12/2019 20:32

@MotherOfSoupDragons
Clementine pudding is an English dessert is it Harlow? Never heard of it.

Ditto - and I've lived here all my life!

( I did google it when she said it, but thanks @AGnu)

QueenOfTheFae · 14/12/2019 20:35

and I thought, oh obviously an olde English desert then....

A clementine (Citrus × clementina) or easy peeler (British English) is a tangor, a citrus fruit hybrid between a willowleaf mandarin orange (C. × deliciosa) and a sweet orange (C. × sinensis named for its late 19th-century discoverer. (wiki)

AGnu · 14/12/2019 20:41

For the record, for anyone who doesn't know, although you've probably already guessed... The tests for organ compatibility take longer than 5 minutes...! Lots of gritting my teeth through this storyline after someone close to me needed a transplant a few years ago!

I fully expect him to get a kidney from an unlikely source... Perhaps some random person on the street, or maybe someone really unlikely like Tim Collins! I wonder if they've thought to test Robert yet... He'd probably refuse to be tested just to spite Paul. It's not like it's a sibling he grew up with, didn't he only find out about David & Leo when David wanted to interview him for his psychopath psychology paper?

Starburst8 · 14/12/2019 22:09

I guess Leo and David are non identical twins then 😂🤣 But even so being twins wouldn't there be a higher chance of them being compatible?
I'm no doctor or expert mind.

Samcro · 14/12/2019 22:19

I did think it odd how paul assumed all his random relatives would be happy to be tested and donate.
Its not like giving blood ffs. Its a major op.
They did it yonks ago withlou and harold.

AGnu · 14/12/2019 22:38

Starburst8 I'm also not a doctor but I'm fairly sure that non-identical twins are the same genetic relation as any other pair of siblings, they just share a birthday. They're created from separate eggs & sperm, just simultaneously. But they are each other's only full siblings as far as we know... so it seems reasonable to assume that they'd have been more likely to match. Perhaps Leo's "one final test" that he failed was a psych evaluation where he admitted that he didn't want major surgery & to risk dying... That could be an interesting twist!

CurbsideProphet · 14/12/2019 22:48

I agree about boring David Grin God it's dire watching them all standing about while Dr Booboo and Az have sad sad faces.

Clawdy · 14/12/2019 22:57

Presume from Roxy's uneasy face that she is actually a match for the kidney, but too afraid to do it, so pretending she isn't. Bet she changes her mind.

AGnu · 16/12/2019 17:13

Only just realised I missed Friday's episode! So someone has thought to ask him to get tested! He's coming across as a bit too nice & reasonable for a psychopath... There's got to be a twist! Any chance he's up for parole sometime soon & thinks being able to demonstrate a good relationship with his daughter might get him out? I don't believe for a second that he actually cares about her.

Clawdy · 16/12/2019 17:28

I wondered if he'd give his kidney, and die from complications, and then Roxy will be totally consumed with guilt!

CurbsideProphet · 17/12/2019 17:44

Have I missed something that has led Paul to bitch about Elly with Claudia?

MotherOfSoupDragons · 17/12/2019 21:03

Yep, the need to shoehorn in a plot line.

SleepingStandingUp · 17/12/2019 23:15

Yeah, totally weird choice. I can't imagine him being anything but indifferent to her, and surprised he cares who Claudia is given he's pretty indifferent to Fin too

OP posts:
AGnu · 18/12/2019 05:56

She has money though, & connections in another country which might be helpful for his quest to save David. I can't imagine he does care about Elly/Finn but if Claudia might be useful to him I'm sure he has no qualms about buddying up to her!

AGnu · 18/12/2019 12:36

I did a spin class this morning. A song came on & the singer sounded just like Mea. I got a sudden mental image of Karl in his lycra cycling as fast as he could away from Mea & had to fight the giggles for the rest of the song!

MiddleClassProblem · 18/12/2019 17:50

Are you saying you had a freaky Friday moment with KK?

Smidge001 · 18/12/2019 23:35

I also thought Robert came across far too normal. Why would he care about saving one of Paul's sons that according to Harlow 'Paul would do anything for', when he's obsessed with hurting Paul? Maybe it's a big scheme, he's actually riddled with diseases and can infect booboo. This would also help the roxy guilt storyline if booboo dies from taking evil Robert's kidney instead of her alcohol preserved one.

But yes, he's forgotten how to come across as the bad guy. I'm surprised they didn't ask finn to show him what evil lizard eyebrow stares should look like.

SleepingStandingUp · 19/12/2019 00:36

I suspect his brain has got a plan concocting already...

Clawdy · 19/12/2019 11:57

They do loads of medical tests on donors, so he won't be able to pass anything on. Maybe he will escape! Wearing a stolen doc uniform, sprinting down the corridors of Erinsborough Hospital! Grin

MotherOfSoupDragons · 19/12/2019 16:52

I thought he seemed quite menacing and scheming.

CurbsideProphet · 20/12/2019 16:27

Proper "baddie music" for Robert's scenes today Grin

woodhill · 20/12/2019 18:27

I wish Amy would get off her high horse.,Kyle tried very hard but she is so up herself

Is Neighbours on every day still

MiddleClassProblem · 20/12/2019 22:05

I dunno. If my boyfriend had just run over my brother (who I don’t even like that much), tried to parent my kid but called him a “tool”, I’d be major red flagging. I definitely wouldn’t consider him father material (after 2 months or whatever).
