New thread, no spoilers, it makes the spoiler thread feel obsolete.

Yeah liked that Harlow and Roxy had more of a sister vibe going on. I hate you and I'll be a cow to you but a guy isn't allowed to and I'll have your back if he tries it.

So, last night, I discovered we had a dodgy light switch when I was electrocuted. Right up my arm, so painful.

Should I be worried? Does my husband have a stalker with a scrap book?!

Also, my first words to my husband were " but this just happened to Bea in neighbours and she now has a heart murmer!" had to laugh, even my misfortune was all about Mea Grin

MiddleClassProblem · 05/10/2019 23:14

😂

Samcro · 07/10/2019 10:42

need to moan about the whole Shane thing. its really annoying me. him being blamed for what Mackenzies dad did. her dad did it, shane didn't. also it was years ago and times and people have changed.
and where is the family loyalty. dipi and yash should have his back, not slagging him off to a girl they have know for a couple of weeks.

as for stalker woman, I ff it.

Can Erinsbrough High not afford the heating on?

AGnu · 07/10/2019 16:19

Loved Harlow & the teacher having a go at Hendrix over periods. Grin Am a little concerned though that they're setting it up to be the old "good girl discovers bad boy's soft side" storyline & he's going to be vulnerable with her at some point & will cheat on Mackenzie with her. Or maybe M will be gone by then, now Daddy's back in touch. I'm sure they'll have lots of catching up to do so can disappear off into the sunset to get to know each other.

SleepingStandingUp · 07/10/2019 19:08

Yeah Hardrix / Henlow is inevitable

Why did Harlow not volunteer to share her study techniques when the teacher asked? I know it's for plot/story telling reasons but it made no sense.

SleepingStandingUp · 07/10/2019 20:27

She went to get props out her box. Ut Hendrix put sanitary wear in there instead was what I gathered?

OP posts:
Stellaris22 · 07/10/2019 20:38

I know, but she walked into the classroom with the box.

SleepingStandingUp · 07/10/2019 20:47

Thry had a 10 minute break before her bit

MiddleClassProblem · 07/10/2019 21:09

She was booked in for set presentation time 😂

SleepingStandingUp · 07/10/2019 21:12

I mean think the idea was she took the box in and they had break time and during break time Hendrix swapped the stuff in the box.

Shane and Dipi and their concerned faces are doing my head in. As my Gran used to say, 'If the wind changes, they'll stick like that.'

MiddleClassProblem · 08/10/2019 13:40

Shane seems to be doing the same face my old dog did when she did something naughty. Example 40 secs in by another dog:

SleepingStandingUp · 08/10/2019 14:49

His miserable face is not attractive. I like Shane but rather like Ben Aston, apparently only when he's chipper!

I do not understand this Mackenzie storyline.
Her dad says "but you'll always be my little boy," and she looks stunned and hurt - yet they havent spoken for years as he couldnt accept it, so why was she shocked??
Also - as openminded as I am, I cannot get my head around one of my boys suddenly not being one of my boys. Why do the parents seem to get judged so harshly if they don't/can't immediately accept things?

SpanishFly · 08/10/2019 17:02

Samcro, I agree - he made a comment which wasn't out of place back then, and he seems to be getting the entire blame for it. Weird.

JustLooking2019 · 08/10/2019 17:17

@spanishfly
My friend is going through this at the moment with her child. She is very open minded and just wants her child to be happy but is really struggling with calling her child by a different name and saying him/he instead of her/she. Child can’t understand it and has told counsellor that parents are not being supportive when I know my friend is really trying her best

SpanishFly · 08/10/2019 17:47

Oh that's so sad. I hope they all find a middle ground soon. I honestly cannot get my head around it. You're almost grieving the loss of a child.

Lovewineandchocs · 08/10/2019 18:19

He didn’t just not accept it though, he broke up the family over it. He left his wife and child and wasn’t in contact for years. He made no attempt to accept or understand it. As he decided to come and see her, Mackenzie probably thought he’d had a change of heart, as he was at least prepared to be confronted with her as a girl. The fact that he said “You’ll always be my little boy” showed her that his stance hadn’t changed at all.

SpanishFly · 08/10/2019 22:58

But that's my point - he felt so strongly about it that she really couldnt have expected him to have done a complete 180 degree change of heart.
I understand that it would be disappointing for her, but hardly a shock.
I'm just getting a bit irked at the way the story is panning out - anyone who isn't completely woke is being slated and treated appallingly. Only one party is allowed to have any feelings/rights/opinions about it all.

SpanishFly · 08/10/2019 22:59

But more interestingly, Mackenzie's dad is the gorgeous guy who was in Strictly Ballroom 😲😲

Lovewineandchocs · 08/10/2019 23:38

No, not a complete change of heart, I agree that would be unrealistic. But I guess she didn’t expect him to deadname her, and perhaps thought that if Shane had become open-minded and somewhat woke, he might have as well.
The whole thing is so complex though, who knows how you’d feel as a parent if this happened? I did think Shane was very rude to Gary, who was only being curious, if a bit crass, rather than actively trying to be offensive.
Oh yeah, Paul Mercurio Grin
