I thought it was lovely when Ritchie joined the protest, but wondering why Shane is getting so involved. It's good to see Susan acting like a head teacher and making decisions rather than letting students decide. The male teacher is horrible.

It is clearly to highlight an issue, but the storyline is important, soaps are a great way to highlight sensitive issues and to fight against homophobia, racism and transphobic views when done correctly. But this isn't the thread to discuss this.

Plus it keeps Roxy off screen for a bit!

I’d also like to say that it is implied the Scarlett has had her scrapbook for a while, potentially since 05 but at very least when she least before she got engaged. There’s not very much in it for someone who is obsessive and likes to jot things down...

Can't stand the Mackenzie storyline

I was wondering if Shane did some bullying when he was younger, so guilt is making him act out more.

Shane is acting so suspiciously I even wondered for a moment if he was trans. But I guess his wife would know about that .

He seems one of the least likely characters to be OK with it. Susan of course, v forward thinking. Toadie too, especially after the influence of Sonia. But Shane is basically a backward thug. So there is clearly something more to this. Maybe he took the Mickey out of/bullied the dad so much that the dad left. I'm not sure what would have been the turn around point for him to actually feel guilty though. It all seemed strange how he knew mackenzie was Michael straight away, yet nkne of the rest of the family did. And how mackenzie was so site he'd help her find her dad.

The aunt is ridiculously conspicuous by her absence isn't she.
