New thread, no spoilers, it makes the spoiler thread feel obsolete.

I know the teen actors are never great when they first start but the continual startled look Mackenzie keeps doing is getting annoying. Not great at acting at all.

Samcro · 19/09/2019 07:06

i really don't like this storyline. neighbours is not known for being diverse .
no disabled people or aborigines in it. yet some how they have shoe horned this into it.

Stellaris22 · 19/09/2019 07:21

I think the diversity issue is strongly linked to Australia not being known for treating aboriginal and ethnic people well, one of the reasons I could never visit Australia as it's generally not a tolerant or pleasant place. But that's nothing to do with the soap, apologies for the digression.

As for Shane, I'm thinking he's feeling guilty for bullying a transgender person in the past which is why he's so invested, but agree he could also be responsible for the dad leaving.

SleepingStandingUp · 19/09/2019 08:05

Ooh possibly. Severe enough the kid attempted or completed suicide.

Wonder if they're gonna get Richie to take Mackenzie to the dance before she leaves. If he reforms he could date Yashvi and Ned can date a grown up

Ohhh come on, @SleepingStandingUp - poor Richie - what has he done to make you wish Yashvi on him??!

On an entirely different note - do any of you also watch the Bake-Off? Because this week's showstopper was Indian sweets called Mishti - and all I could think of was the Neighbours character, every time they said it - and they said it a lot!

Stellaris22 · 19/09/2019 12:48

I thought that too when I was watching Bake Off.

SpanishFly · 19/09/2019 15:23

ALSO on Bake Off, Noel mentioned Neighbours

Mogtheanxiouscat · 19/09/2019 16:22

It's ok Noel, I cry at Neighbours too.

And can I just say "Back off the baby Dr Boo Boo". He has form for this! Remember him pretending to be the dad of Paige's baby?

Lovewineandchocs · 19/09/2019 20:35

It all seemed strange how he knew mackenzie was Michael straight away

Well, she went to see him in the Waterhole and said “My name is Mackenzie Hargreaves. My mother was Sarah Hargreaves-remember me now?” so he’d have known who she was then.

Starburst8 · 19/09/2019 21:01

@middleclass Mark looks just as dodgy😱 He has a look of Mason (H&A) on the 2nd pic.

Cherrypie32 · 19/09/2019 21:03

I liked Finn telling David to back off. What a creep.

Clawdy · 19/09/2019 22:03

Finn will be the baby's uncle though. Can't think why David is getting so involved.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 19/09/2019 22:24

I didn’t like the way Finn reacted in today’s episode - I know he is the baby’s uncle, and is being protective of his brother’s interests, but that does NOT give him the right to be included in every discussion about Elly’s pregnancy or her plans for the birth.

SleepingStandingUp · 19/09/2019 23:42

It's really odd how Bea thinks Finn should be so involved. Even if Elly was with Shaun, who takes their BIL to the birth classes?
It's really controlling.

Altho not sure why Leo is so invested

MiddleClassProblem · 20/09/2019 08:55

But Boo Boo was really weird with the crib thing. The babies aunt and uncle are doing something and as a “friend” (how often do we see them hanging out? Didn’t Aaron hate Elly for ages?) they are talking about being a part of the babies life!

I also watch bake off! But I’m s but Indian 😂

Speaking of diversity, when the Kapoors joined there was a huge racist backlash online. There are still parts of Australia with signs not allowing aboriginal people in the pubs etc. Crazy!

Mogtheanxiouscat · 20/09/2019 09:09

What was the moody ex soldier called? Who dug holes in the night? Wasn't he part aboriginee?
I liked him.

MiddleClassProblem · 20/09/2019 09:20

Nate. I like Nate

MiddleClassProblem · 20/09/2019 09:20

His friendship with Tyler was sweet. He went out with Chris?

SpanishFly · 20/09/2019 09:40

It's really odd how Bea thinks Finn should be so involved.
But then every single time he suggests something to Bea, she says back off it's up to Elly what she does 😅😅

Mogtheanxiouscat · 20/09/2019 12:41

Ah yes. Nate. And Freckles.

Boo boo would've been fighting Chris to be Lucy's surrogate.

MiddleClassProblem · 20/09/2019 12:44

😂

WheresThatCatGoneNow · 20/09/2019 12:54

Is there supposedly a Lassiters Hotel in London - where Therese and Paul are staying? I didn't know it was a multinational chain Shock

I only ask because the logo on the 'Do Not Disturb' card on the door handle looks suspiciously familiar....

MiddleClassProblem · 20/09/2019 13:12

There’s definitely one or two in the USA. I think they just plop them wherever they need according to the plot.

CurbsideProphet · 20/09/2019 14:45

Is Harlow's mum Denise Van Outen in a questionable hat?

Flashinggreen · 20/09/2019 15:44

I can’t watch it, sometimes catch up doesn’t put it on straight away!
