wtf is it about ?! We caught an episode before DSD this morning , kids are really too old for CBeebies so it has (fortuitously) passed us by until now. What planet (or drugs) are the "writers" on ? It is curiously hypnotic though ....

Wave to the Wattingers!

motherinferior · 02/08/2007 16:40

DD2 says kindly 'we're going upstairs, Mummy, but you can still watch the Night Garden'

AlbusPercivalWulfricBrianSun · 02/08/2007 16:44

BTW does anyone know who the Pontipines next door neighbours are or is that a mystery?

ediemay · 02/08/2007 16:45

I love it, love it, love it - almost as much as DS. He's a Pontypines fan, I'm a Ha-Boos fan

auntyspan · 02/08/2007 16:45

Wattingers - i think - the blue ones?

ediemay · 02/08/2007 16:45

next door are the Wattingers. They don't seem to go out much.

auntyspan · 02/08/2007 16:46

My DP LOOOVVVVEEESSS the Harboos. He wants massive ones for the garden

AlbusPercivalWulfricBrianSun · 02/08/2007 16:52

Harboos are cool. Why don't we know more about the Wattingers? How come Makka Pakka doesn't wash their faces?

Lolly68 · 02/08/2007 16:59

I love the Tombliboos and DD loves Macca Pacca.

growingbagpuss · 02/08/2007 17:00

they are ha-HOOS - listen to Derek - HaHoo is the sound they make.... check out the CBeebies website!! mindyou, I'll have to check now....

edam · 02/08/2007 17:03

Lol at MI. Ds shouts 'MUMMEEEEEE, In the Night Garden NOW' if I happen to be somewhere else when it comes on. That music is just sooooo hypnotic.

growingbagpuss · 02/08/2007 19:22

Sorry... PMSL at tongihts episode - Igglepiggle and upsy daisy are secretly at it aren't they? I nearly died when he tried to squeeze her into the tiny end carriage of the Ninky Nonk... I thought he was going to shove her in bottom first!!

NadineBaggott · 02/08/2007 19:30

OMG it's absolutely dire.

Oops a daisy Oops a daisy Oops a daisy Oops a daisy Oops a daisy Oops a daisy Oops a daisy
ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

edam · 02/08/2007 23:00

Yeah, but that's how the mind of a toddler works, Nadine. Constant repetition is their thing.

CristinaTheAstonishing · 02/08/2007 23:05

DD (2.5) loves this programme. Today we saw a lot of the associated toys in The Entertainer. They sound just like on TV. DD really liked them but I haven't bought her many toys yet so she is very accepting of "now we have to say by-bye to them" and I can get away without buying them.

yogabird · 02/08/2007 23:13

i love it, love it, love it! Wonder whether you can get the music as a ringtone - anyone know? It's so soothing and i hate urgent ringtones!

Beauregard · 02/08/2007 23:14

Dp downloaded the music to our phones

Beauregard · 02/08/2007 23:14

Merely for the entertainment of the dd's though you understand

edam · 02/08/2007 23:15

Oh wow, ask him how he did that, I'd love to have ITNG ring tone. Would make me feel happy every time my phone rang.

Beauregard · 02/08/2007 23:17

He downloaded the music(mp3),he can't remember where from
Then he Bluetoothed it to our phones.

We also have the upsy daisy song

Beauregard · 02/08/2007 23:25

growingbagpuss · 03/08/2007 08:03

ME TOO!!!!

edam · 03/08/2007 08:45

Sadly whenever I get a lovely modern mobile it breaks so am back to using dh's very old Nokia which probably still thinks Bluetooth is a Scandinavian king.

LIZS · 03/08/2007 08:58

whoever was thrown by the changing perspective , I'm with you ! How much smaller is Macca Pakka than Upsadaisy and Iggle Piggle , and the machines grow/shrink to accommodate them .
