wtf is it about ?! We caught an episode before DSD this morning , kids are really too old for CBeebies so it has (fortuitously) passed us by until now. What planet (or drugs) are the "writers" on ? It is curiously hypnotic though ....

It is the farty thing, and he thinks it is hilarious. Do boys ever grow out of thinking farting and farty noises are funny?

Loobeeloo · 26/07/2007 22:23

No they don't

imaginaryfriend · 26/07/2007 22:23

Granny Murray reminds me of one of the early Dr. Who characters who ripped off their head and turned out to be a scary worm monster.

Dd's scared of that horrible dummy in her lounge. I wonder what she gets up to with it when the kids have gone home ... All those dressing up costumes

SoupDragon · 26/07/2007 22:23

The evil child minder in "Me Too".

the children she is with at the beginning of the show mysteriously vanish after the first 5 minutes...You never see them again, they're simply replaced by others.

Loobeeloo · 26/07/2007 22:24

It worries me that she child minds a dog as well as the children, ofsted would not approve...

imaginaryfriend · 26/07/2007 22:24

She feeds them to the dummy I think?

imaginaryfriend · 26/07/2007 22:24

That's why she calls them all 'honeypie' - it's the dummy's favourite food.

Loobeeloo · 26/07/2007 22:24

And have you noticed she always wears the same outfit?

imaginaryfriend · 26/07/2007 22:25

The dummy loves her in that outfit.

Loobeeloo · 26/07/2007 22:25

My ds always pipes up bye bye pie at the end.

Loobeeloo · 26/07/2007 22:26

I have actually never seen a dummy like that ever before, are you saying it's not a real dummy?

MrsScavo · 26/07/2007 22:26

A friend of mine is impresed that Granny Murray childminds over night.

How much per hour do you think she charges for the dog, and is food included?

GColdtimer · 26/07/2007 22:27

Mmm, even the programme descriptions sounds a bit scary. If it is a different adult and child every day, where do they all go?

"Granny Murray is warm and welcoming --opening the door of her basement flat in Tattiemoon Lane to a different adult with their pre -school child at the beginning of every episode."

SoupDragon · 26/07/2007 22:27

It is not a dummy, it's a Punished Child.

MrsScavo · 26/07/2007 22:27

you are only alowed to own one outfit if you live in Scotland. Think of Balamory.

Loobeeloo · 26/07/2007 22:28

And her mysterious words of wisdom to the parent as they leave their child eerily come to pass later in the programme, maybe she is a witch then?

imaginaryfriend · 26/07/2007 22:29

It must've eaten a heck of a lot of honeypie if that's a child.

Loobeeloo · 26/07/2007 22:29

Suzy Sweet now there's someone who boils small children up for soup in the cafe!

imaginaryfriend · 26/07/2007 22:30

The 'dummy' has a lot of outfits though ...

Loobeeloo · 26/07/2007 22:31

My dh thinks PC Plum and Archie are special friends.

MrsScavo · 26/07/2007 22:35

Well could someone please tell Miss Hooley. I'm fed up of her creaming her pants over Plummy, who does his best to avoid her.

Loobeeloo · 26/07/2007 22:35

Do you think her first name is Julie?

MrsScavo · 26/07/2007 22:36

I can't believe I jsut posted that

MrsScavo · 26/07/2007 22:36

Er well, Id always presumed it was.

ChorusLine · 26/07/2007 22:39
