Changed the name of this thread as we were very upset with the ending of series 3 out in Bangladesh! Waiting out for news of series 4. In the meantime, we are reviewing the seven series of Soldier Soldier.

Now ladies, next week I am actually back on Thursday but have assumed I am going to be suffering with jetlag so do you mind if we leave it until the week after? Tuesday or Wednesday would be best for me.

As long as you don't have someone next to you threatening they'll break your arm if you touch them - you'll be fine - dear old Molly and her charming turns of phrase!

Ha did enjoy reading that. Several references from OG always go down a treat with me. "Septic tanks" for one! Also Molly's frequent threats to Smurf. Lots of sharp humour in OG series 1. Didn't quite pull the humour off in later series.

Agree about Tony being a pain lately and do wonder what Joy saw in him.

I'm probably a bit late with this but "have a great holiday Ilove "

It's surreal Rhu. You see so much about NY on the news and films that you feel you know some of the places. We did Ground Zero yesterday which was upsetting nd I spent most of the time trying not to cry. The Statue of Liberty we saw as we went across on the ferry. Times Square was intimidating. Think Oxford Street at Christmas times 10. The crowds, eeeek

On the downside, we are haemhorraging money quicker than I thought possible. :(

I've been keeping myself busy on the Sanditon thread - a nice fun, friendly group of posters. They reminded me a bit of the OG crowd especially now most are heartily enraged by the ending of the series on Sunday! It really had overtones of Georgiegate about it - baying for the writer's blood - and this was Andrew Davies no less! It was a bit of twaddle and not up to standard with proper Austen adaptations, but I enjoyed the chat.

Hi ladies. I wasn't too clever Thur or Fri. We got home about 9am and ironically had travelled over 3000 miles across the Atlantic without a problem, then got stuck on the motorway about 10 miles from home!

It was an incredible experience though it doesn't necessarily make me want to explore the rest of the US if I am completely honest.

Shall we abandon this thread and start the new one?
