Changed the name of this thread as we were very upset with the ending of series 3 out in Bangladesh! Waiting out for news of series 4. In the meantime, we are reviewing the seven series of Soldier Soldier.

Yes, I'm not sure white shoes were very "in" even in the early 1990's. I thought they were definitely assigned to the early 80's - very Club Tropicana.

Another episode done!

Are we ok for next week? Tuesday or Thursday?

The following week I will be away now our flights and hotel are sorted.

(We are having to pay for the hotel ourselves, we found out this afternoon, and will have to claim it back from the CAA.

Thinking about Michael's PTSD, for all it was 25 years ago, I think it was done better than OG - sure, they dealt with CJ's, and there were gestures to Georgie''s, only she wasn't seeing things, she was seeing the terrorist, but how she didn't have a bad reaction after Bones was blown up is beyond belief - and also the others in the platoon, for all they were not 'involved' with either.

Thinking about CJ, there was the suggestion that he'd been through some sort of counselling after Afghanistan although it wasn't clear. When Georgie was in hospital in Kenya, he was giving her advice to talk about everything and not say she was fine and throw herself back into work. At that point in time he seemed to have come to terms with everything that happened to him and was settled. Things certainly unravelled as time moved on - Elvis RIP - by then he seemed to be pretty much in denial that anything was wrong - obviously, or he would never have broken army regulations with Georgie! Angry

Thursday is the night before we go away so I will have to make sure I am all packed, travel documents checked etc. Mind you, I have all day to get sorted - one of the beauties of not working!

I see Lesley Manville is in World on Fire. She was the Colonel's girlfriend in Hong Kong and she also turned up in the last of the John Nettles 'Midsomer Murders' which I saw the other night on itv3 - don't ask why I was watching it ...

Packed yes, ready, not so sure. It's all been so much of a rollercoaster these past couple of weeks that I am finding it all a bit surreal. I hope to feel different once we're at the airport tomorrow.
