Hello folks

Our Finale thread is getting close to full and the discussion is still going strong, so here's a shiny new space to continue with our theories and comments.

In our version of the GoT universe, where has Drogon taken Dany?

Well I like to think his taken her home to somewhere she was happy but in reality probably wherever he disappears to in season 5

agirlhasnonameX · 24/05/2019 00:08

I hope he's either taken her to Valyria or to Dragonstone.

So GRRM has hinted at WOW possibly being finished by July 2020. Not faith inspiring I know, but it's something 🤷🏻‍♀️

OneInAMillionYou · 24/05/2019 03:13

I've been roaming around the fan sites a little more now that I no longer have to worry about spoilers.

Some of the fan - written scenarios are hilarious and very detailed! Just read one about Drogon taking Dany back to Mereen and some Red Priestess bringing her back to life, making babies with Daario and then heading back to Westeros to blast them again with Drogon.

I'm almost glad the show is over 😀

OMG yes! I read some about Sandor still being alive. As much as I wanted him to have a happy ending, the fall was pretty far and he had already been wounded in the fight!

BlackCatSleeping · 24/05/2019 04:53

I read a theory that he had taken her to Essos. I’ll try and find the link.

Thanks for the new thread!!!

BlackCatSleeping · 24/05/2019 04:58

Here’s the link:

www.google.co.jp/amp/s/www.esquire.com/entertainment/tv/amp27522469/drogon-flying-with-daenerys-body-to-old-valyria-game-of-thrones-finale/

It was said that Drogon was seen flying East.

I actually love that not all the questions were answered in the finale. It’s fun to speculate Smile

RedForShort · 24/05/2019 08:02

He probably ate her as an in-flight snack on his way east.

Fan fiction is usually hilarious. I love it! I hope it never stops being a thing. I've never read GoT fan fiction: shall have to rectify that!!!

OneInAMillionYou · 24/05/2019 08:53

RedForShort he would be a bit peckish! Remember when the dragons were eating everything in sight and constantly surrounded by piles of bones?

I'm really looking forward to the documentary; I love 'behind the scenes' footage. GoT is/was like a huge industry and the skills levels of the various specialists was off the scale. I hope we get to see the costume team. Sansa's coronation dress was beautiful.

Just beware the Jon-Sam sex fanfic Envy (not envy)

SinkGirl · 24/05/2019 08:55

It’s pretty graphic 😂

SinkGirl · 24/05/2019 08:57

The womens’ costumes in this season and the last annoyed me a little TBH - they were beautiful but mostly felt way too modern (like the language I suppose!)

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 24/05/2019 08:58

Were the dragons all male? You couldn’t see any, er, dragon bits could you?

SweetSummerchild · 24/05/2019 08:58

To sum up, the 73 episodes of GOT were a bit like the 77 courses at Joff’s and Marge’s wedding feast. Started off with such promise and ended in chaos, death, pigeon shit and accusations.

Great.

Things I think will happen in future books:

Dany dies at the hands of Jon after losing the plot
Bran will become king via a great council
The Others will be ‘pushed back’
Sansa will become Lady of Winterfell and will forge an alliance between the North and the Vale to feed the North through winter
Arya will reclaim her identity but lose the will to return home
Tyrion will be instrumental in helping Dany return to Westeros and will survive the series

I can see Bran being ‘voted’ for as King in some sort of election that resembles that of LC of the Nights Watch. It will probably take weeks/months to happen. It is easy to forget that he is causing to the Lord Paramount of the Vale, grandson of Hoster Tully as well as being a Stark. He may end up as King as a sort of ‘Ed Milliband’ option in that he’s neither first nor least favourite for anyone. Future succession will be left ambiguous; GRRM never really liked the ‘wrapping everything up neatly in a bow’ ending.

Either way it will make sense.

Thanks for the warning!! Fan fiction does have a tendency to contain a lot of sex, especially with characters you might not have consider as a that sexual (Harry Potter fan fiction was an eye opener!!)

agirlhasnonameX · 24/05/2019 10:32

Sansa's coronation dress was beautiful.
These where my first words first time I watched the episode, after "wtf why is Bran King." I loooved her dress. The pp who said the costumes where modern- did you see Eurons jacket last season?🤦🏻‍♀️

To sum up, the 73 episodes of GOT were a bit like the 77 courses at Joff’s and Marge’s wedding feast. Started off with such promise and ended in chaos, death, pigeon shit and accusations.
And this is the best, most accurate description of Game of Thrones I've read on the internet as yet.

OrianaBanana · 24/05/2019 10:47

I was really hoping Drogon was going to toast and eat her there in the throne room. That would have been cool (and shocking obviously, in true GoT style).

I think dragons are both LordProf

SweetSummerchild · 24/05/2019 10:53

@agirlhasnonameX thank you for the compliment!

Have you watched Preston Jacobs’ latest review video? I thought of you when he was going over the utter absurdity of the Jon/Tyrion/Grey Worm trial/kingsmoot/Great council.

agirlhasnonameX · 24/05/2019 11:20

Deserved SweetSummer.

I just watched it, hilarious 😂 and couldn't agree more R.E Tyrion. Loved the way he goes round describing the council as 'the murderers sister, the murderers best friend,' etc and also something I've not heard anyone else pick up on- that Jon bows to Bran but not to Sansa despite never having been in the South and leaving it then to go back North.

SweetSummerchild · 24/05/2019 11:25

agirlhasnonameX his ‘Watch’ review videos are absolutely hilarious. I’ve bene watching them since season 5 and I have often looked froward to them more than the GOT episodes themselves.

The one he did for S7E7 was brilliant - particularly where he referred to Cersei as ‘homeless Joe’ and couldn’t work out why everyone was trying to get ‘homeless Joe’ to pitch in for gas for a road trip.

BrienneofTarthILoveYou · 24/05/2019 12:27

Just checking in as I love reading everyone's thoughts on the show, especially as I haven't read the books!

agirlhasnonameX · 24/05/2019 13:01

SweetSummerchild
I might have to go back and watch his earlier videos then, I stick to nerd soup and Ozzy man for reviews mostly, but really should have expanded my channels it seems.

I imagine it became quite difficult to look at Cersei after that and not think of her as 'homeless Joe' 😂😂😂

agirlhasnonameX · 24/05/2019 13:03

Very immature but the Drogon pit and council meeting in this killed me.

SweetSummerchild · 24/05/2019 13:51

Oh, that video is funny! I like the book that just contains pictures of Sam!

Smallandfriendly · 24/05/2019 14:38

But Sansa hadn’t been crowned queen when Jon left KL, she only became queen when he was back to the wall?

agirlhasnonameX · 24/05/2019 14:55

Oh, that video is funny! I like the book that just contains pictures of Sam!
I know that's the bit that got me 😂

But Sansa hadn’t been crowned queen when Jon left KL
I guess but I think it was pretty evident to all of them when she got independence, there wasn't really anyone else who could be.
