That last thread filled up quickly! Here's a new one for us.

As a PP said, I can't quite forget how vile Dom was to Malik in the early days, so his rehabilitation has never made me warm to him. It looks as though his troubles aren't over, though. Carol to the rescue?

We didn't find out who he was on the phone with, did we? It clearly wasn't his ex-wife! I suppose it could've been their child but I'd be surprised if the ex allows contact/he's been bothered enough to fight for it.

How come Ange gets away with speaking to HH the way she does? Not only did she not carry out his instruction she marches into his office and puts the file on his desk for him to deal with! Then he meekly gives in to her. He is the CEO! Why does she think her patients should take priority over everyone else?

No, it wasn't his wife, kittens - his wife apparently died three years ago in a mountaineering accident. The whole episode was very strange - complete storylines being presented with no preamble (the dead wife, Bernie's engagement), odd camera angles,etc.

At one point I was worried that HH was going to suggest that Essie would make a good foster mother for his grandson, but thank goodness he appeared to recover his instinct for parenting himself!

RIP Bernie you will be missed. That Alex wasn’t good enough for her. Poor Serena. She acted amazingly tonight. How dare Bernie get engaged to someone else? I’m not over invested in this at all...

I fell asleep and missed the bit about how his wife died so handy to know. I'm getting a feeling of deja vue here, wasn't there a previous swarthy, dark haired, maverick consultant who had a secret wife who turned up? I can't even think of his name now.

I don't think Bernie is dead. Isn't it odd that they sent someone official to tell her son she was MIA but then her ex was the one who said her armour had been identified?

The lights flicker and Donna turns towards the doors and light. She sees the ghost of Bernice standing there silently. She screams and drops her metal tray of nurse things.
The ghost rushes towards her
"Donna, what's wrong?" asks the shpst, sounding not qhostly at all and actually quite solid
"you're dead!" trembles Donna
"im what?" asks the maybe-not ghost
"you're dead, you're meant to be dead"
"what ever are you taking about?"
"they're all at your funeral!!"

Scene changes to the chapel at Holby. Cameron weeps loudly, tears run down Serena face. The vicar talks.

The doors burst open

"what the hell is going on?" demands the definately-not-a-ghost loudly?

The congregation turns, and Serena passes out

I agree that the info about Bernie has been odd, and hope very much that we'll be seeing her again. Do we know anything about Alex's relationship with her in the past??
