That last thread filled up quickly! Here's a new one for us.

As a PP said, I can't quite forget how vile Dom was to Malik in the early days, so his rehabilitation has never made me warm to him. It looks as though his troubles aren't over, though. Carol to the rescue?

Hope jak gets an award for this. And I hope she turns up for it !!

OrlandoInTheWilderness · 10/12/2019 22:15

Utterly brilliant television. I hope they get some serious recognition for this. Rosie Marcel was acting the wooden Chloe and insufferable Cam off the screen tonight. Masterfully done!

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 11/12/2019 08:19

I really liked the way they chipped away at her "I'm perfectly fine" act. She was so believable at the start but it slowly began to unravel.

billysboy · 11/12/2019 08:41

Fantastic acting by Rosie last night , triggered a lot of unhappy memories back of my mother having a nervous breakdown 40 years ago

Optimist1 · 14/12/2019 14:52

Two episodes this week - usual Tuesday and again Thursday (both at 8:00)!

Why two? Because none on Christmas Eve maybe?

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 15/12/2019 08:41

I loved the nod to her being visited by the three wise men.

Initially, I thought the older woman was the ghost of Christmas yet to come, if Jac did not accept that she needed help.

SleepingStandingUp · 15/12/2019 11:05

They played the old woman well, the was she real or was she Jac angle.

nrpmum · 15/12/2019 12:25

So did I new although I wasn't 100% sure. Absolutely gut wrenching to watch.

cittigirl · 17/12/2019 20:58

Omg, the script writers need sacking after tonight's episode. Such a ridiculous scenario Hmm

spiderlight · 17/12/2019 21:30

Why does everyone in Holby have to get married (or not) in the car park at the end of their shift?! I did feel sorry for Dom though :(

cittigirl · 17/12/2019 22:01

Yes I did too but it was still a ridiculous episode imho

QueenofmyPrinces · 17/12/2019 22:02

I also wonder why everyone gets married on a bit of grass by the car park.... it’s hardly romantic is it?

I did like Don’s suit though.

The whole “going away party” and Dom being there to wave him off amicably was so unrealistic!!

I used to quite fancy Max when he was in Casualty but he wasn’t doing anything for me tonight. It would have been amazing if Zoe had come to England with him!! I found it odd that he said he and Zoe were planning on trying for a baby seeing as she much better bearing 50 by now?! Wasn’t she early-mid 40’s when they started dating?

I like Carol tonight.
Did not like Ange’s wedding outfit, it was not remotely flattering.

The whole Sacha/Becca storyline was ridiculous - it was just so unbelievable. As if a teenage girl (how old is she?) would want her dad hanging around outside the curtain whilst she’s being seen by a gynaecologist and then him casually asking Becca what the problem was after previously having nosed into her sex life? I imagine that would be the stuff of most teenage girls nightmares.

I had no idea that it was on this Thursday too though!!! That’s really cheered me up!!!

Agingdisgracefully · 17/12/2019 23:23

That sax didn't have a cap on the mouthpiece. Spoilt the whole scene for me

nrpmum · 18/12/2019 06:39

Agree it was very disappointing tonight. Also liked Doms suit.

Get the impression Evans sister is going to be a bunny boiler.

Optimist1 · 18/12/2019 07:52

Carol was the only one who didn't annoy me last night, except for her bare arms which must have been freezing. Sacha and Essie were like a poundshop romcom, Ange still managed to make everything all about her, and Lofty's hangdog expression was very irritating.

Another case of a member of staff deciding to quit, having a "surprise" leaving do and walking cycling off into the sunset on the same day.

Yeah I was thinking with the nhs crisis that's bound to happen Hmm

SleepingStandingUp · 18/12/2019 10:51

Re Dom, thing is he knew deep down it didn't work, and his sister said about him ending it the way he wanted it to end. So not screaming and tears but using the do they'd already paid for to try and part in a way that he might heal from it. He didn't look T any point like he was OK with it, I just hope they give his character time to get over everything before another guy comes along.

Gemma2019 · 18/12/2019 11:40

I'm so glad to finally see the end of Dofty. If Cameron and Chloe also leave it might become enjoyable to watch again.

ineedto · 18/12/2019 20:32

Last night was just odd. Hoping it picks up now, it's my favourite.

HalleLouja · 20/12/2019 06:39

Lofty really was horrid to Dom. Getting a woman pregnant and Dom just putting up with it as he was so broody. Hopefully some nice stable guy can sweep Dom off his feet. But then again this is Holby.

Optimist1 · 20/12/2019 08:25

Essie's got form for getting to know new, male members of staff very quickly in Albie's hasn't she? I didn't spot whether they ended up in the toilets last night, though. Will the penny finally drop for Sacha - she's over you, mate!

OP posts:
NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 20/12/2019 09:10

I've decided I don't actually like Essie very much. It was quite obvious that was going to happen with the new guy. Poor, poor Sacha.

Rather a depressing pre-Christmas episode with Kian's beloved dying too.

spiderlight · 20/12/2019 10:30

It was a miserable episode - poor Kian and poor Sacha :( I quite liked Dom's mums instigating a 'controlled explosion' though. Nice to see a bit of the old feisty drama-queen Dom again!

QueenofmyPrinces · 20/12/2019 16:10

I really disliked Essie in last night’s episode. I mean, I’m not a big fan anyway but last night she was really unpleasant.

I really felt for poor Kian Sad

I love how Carol still calls Dom, “Dazzle” Grin
