That last thread filled up quickly! Here's a new one for us.

As a PP said, I can't quite forget how vile Dom was to Malik in the early days, so his rehabilitation has never made me warm to him. It looks as though his troubles aren't over, though. Carol to the rescue?

I find the whole Lofty/Dom relationship irritatingly implausible. There is nothing about the way Lofty acts towards Dom, ever, that suggests he has any feelings for him that are stronger or warmer than intense irritation.

Wish I hadn't watched... Left the room for the birth... Twenty five years since I gave birth to my Jack... He had a brain haemorrhage after birth. We had to make the decision to switch off his life support two hours later... 3 days before Christmas... I'm not much of a fan of Christmas now.... 💔 💔 💔 💔 💔 😔 😔 😔

SleepingStandingUp · 20/11/2019 23:45

@Elderflower14 I'm so sorry xx

spiderlight · 21/11/2019 08:47

Oh @Elderflower14 - so very sorry Flowers

SoupDragon · 21/11/2019 09:36

Flowers It was a tough watch even without any personal experience.

SleepingStandingUp · 21/11/2019 10:18

Watched the 2nd half whilst multitasking uni work..

Donna said her son was 27 weeks but counted as a miscarriage not a prem birth, or did I mishear?

Agree the doceaving the room with the baby was weird.

QueenofmyPrinces · 21/11/2019 10:33

I thought she said 22 weeks?

SleepingStandingUp · 21/11/2019 10:33

That makes more sense, thanks. I must have misheard

Nonnymum · 21/11/2019 22:48

I thi k Donna said 22 weeks and Loftus baby was 28 weeks?

QueenofmyPrinces · 26/11/2019 21:03

Another ridiculous episode...

Max shouting at Kian, telling him that if he interrupted her again then she would throw her mug at him...

Would that be ok if it was a male shouting at a female and threatening to throw a mug at her if she didn’t stop talking?

I hate double standards when it comes to what is acceptable in terms of threats, behaviour and violence.

And as for Donna going for a lovely wander out and about to chase after a patient and then spending time with said patient in a local bar.....yes.....because all nurses have time for that.....

So her excuse to not got to the funeral of her friend’s baby was because the ward was too busy to allow it, but no so busy that she couldn’t go out for a nice liquid lunch.

I really don’t like that Helen character. Obviously she’s going through something truly awful, but I don’t like how manipulative she’s being and what she’s trying to do to Lofty and Dom.

I think Dom looked quite sexy in his shirt tonight though!

I like Fletch’s hair but I wish they would put him back in a waistcoat because he’s looking so shabby these days. And talking of shorts, his ones always seem to have a hint of grey about them don’t they?

Loved Jac’s outburst at Mudani!!

(I do think Mudani looked nice though with his hair all fluffy and face all stubbled following his bedside vigil).

CottonHeadedNinyMuggins · 26/11/2019 21:16

I wouldn't wish the loss of a baby on anyone - but Helen is quite obviously playing a game to get Lofty.

I hate how Dom is expected to let it all go and take all the blame for not being there (glad he told Lofty what Helen had done) all to accomodate the woman his husband cheated on him with (I know that she didn't know he was married at the time).

She knew what Lofty wants to hear and how he wanted to be wanted/needed at such a horrendous time especially as his husband wasn't there for him (and she knew why). Awful woman.

The sooner they finally give up the ghost of Dom/Lofty the better - they can't keep going round in circles of avoiding problems, rowing and then reluctantly making up.

spiderlight · 26/11/2019 22:40

Max's outburst about throwing the mug was so unprofessional. I really do not like that character - Hanssen can't come back quickly enough!

Helen's behaviour was awful, even given the circumstances. She's playing the situation to get Lofty back, or at least split him and Dom up.

MyOtherProfile · 27/11/2019 10:21

So her excuse to not got to the funeral of her friend’s baby was because the ward was too busy to allow it, but no so busy that she couldn’t go out for a nice liquid lunch.

I think Donna said she couldn't go because Lorraine Chase needed her - hence she could then sit in the pub with her. I bet that happens all the time too in hospitals - one nurse and one special patient!

SoupDragon · 27/11/2019 10:24

Donna's real reason was because it brought back memories of losing her son at 22 weeks. The rest was just an excuse.

I'm not a fan of Jac either. She is a cruel bully who would be pulled up for her behaviour to her colleagues in any other job. She may have had a tough early life but so do lots of people (including her sister) but that doesn't give her a free pass to be vile. She has the intelligence and resources to have got a shitload of therapy for herself over the years but because no-one will stand up to the great Jac her behaviour has gone unchecked and got more and more outrageous. She may not be in the state she is in now if someone had stood up to her antics over the years.

On a lighter note, why was Mange dressed as a banana for her date with Fletch?!

SleepingStandingUp · 27/11/2019 17:15

That's why I like Fletch, he comes the closest to standing up to her

SoupDragon · 27/11/2019 18:12

why was Mange dressed as a banana for her date with Fletch?!

She was hoping to get up to some monkey business

MyOtherProfile · 27/11/2019 19:18
Grin
PretendLife · 28/11/2019 12:24

I just hope that Elliot isn't going to be sacrificed at the alter of Jac's ego.

QueenofmyPrinces · 28/11/2019 13:07

I think that would just push Jac over the edge.

I bet she will have some kind of breakdown during the procedure and Kian will come and save the day.

SleepingStandingUp · 28/11/2019 13:07

Amdani deserves everything he got

Emeraldshamrock · 28/11/2019 21:27

Loving the new CEO and her coffee cup threat. Brilliant Grin

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 29/11/2019 06:58

I do wonder what the response would be if Madani threatened to throw a coffee cup at Chloe, or another woman junior to him in rank.

SoupDragon · 29/11/2019 07:05

I think it would be fine if it was exactly the same sort of empty threat made by Max. I did not believe for one second that it was a serious threat.
