That last thread filled up quickly! Here's a new one for us.

As a PP said, I can't quite forget how vile Dom was to Malik in the early days, so his rehabilitation has never made me warm to him. It looks as though his troubles aren't over, though. Carol to the rescue?

The problem with Fletch is his 4 kids. There is no way Jac could cope with them. Not sure Mange would want them either, who would.

SleepingStandingUp · 15/11/2019 13:21

Well 3 kids and an imaginery daughter who is never seen 😂😂

MyOtherProfile · 16/11/2019 07:31

I was proud of her allowing Emma choose
I hated that bit. I was given a choice at her age and am still marked by it. Even at that age a child knows that the parent who doesn't get chosen will be hurt.

I wish Sasha and Essie would get back together. Permanently. Then we wouldn't get these random storylines from time to time that paint her as some kind of sex queen with gorgeous men throwing themselves at her everywhere.

SoupDragon · 16/11/2019 08:05

TBH, Johnny is a wanker for moving so far away that Emma can't have a relationship with both parents.

Surely if a child doesn't choose then there is the chance they will think the parent who "gives them up" doesn't want them? There is no right way I think.

StrongTea · 16/11/2019 08:11

Sure Elliot will collapse shortly and Jac will feel really bad. Do not like that new CEO woman.

Emeraldshamrock · 16/11/2019 09:56

@MyOtherProfile How awful Flowers
I thought it might be easier on her than with a court case, though your right it is not a chouce a DC should have to make.
The parent's should have discussed and decided.

SleepingStandingUp · 16/11/2019 10:26

I'm not sure there's a win either way
My parents decided. I still always wondered why my Mom didn't fight for us.

Yes to Sasha and Essie cos it's getting tedious and the random loo shag with Kian was AGES ago, she really needs to move on.

Doubleraspberry · 16/11/2019 10:32

In a child residency case in my extended family, the pointless Cafcass Officer asked one of the children who they wanted to live with. They said weekdays with X and weekends with Y, Y being the parent they were closest too and who wasn’t behaving abusively towards them. The Cafcass Officer interpreted this as them wanting to be with X most of the time, but they had meant wanting to be with Y all the time they weren’t at school. They were horribly upset by the conversation and told Y about their thinking, and their behaviour demonstrated their actual feelings, but it became a ‘fact’ that they wanted to be with X. It’s a really bad way of going about things I think.

@Emeraldshamrock til they run out of clean socks and are fed up of microwave dinners. Sorry things are tough for you x

SoupDragon · 19/11/2019 21:36

Well, I was a snivelling wreck with this week's episode.

spiderlight · 19/11/2019 21:40

Me too :(

SleepingStandingUp · 19/11/2019 22:34

I managed half of it, I'm 32 weeks pregnant.

MyOtherProfile · 20/11/2019 06:59

Sleeping you did well to manage that far. I haven't been pregnant for more than a decade and it was more than I could manage.

The whole baby story line has been silly. Now it feels like they've conveniently brought it to an end while reducing the audience to a snivelling wreck

SoupDragon · 20/11/2019 07:29

I thought it was good that they warned you episode heartbreaking in the announcement before the show. I thoughtElliot was going to die but it was clear fairly early on what the story would be Sad

QueenofmyPrinces · 20/11/2019 08:12

Very sad episode but at least the silly storyline will be over.

I’m pretty sure if my husband went off somewhere, had an affair and got another woman pregnant, that I wouldn’t be all lovely and friendly towards her, going to her antenatal classes and scans, discussing possibly baby names and welcoming her with open arms and wanting us to become a family of 3 Hmm

The way the producers scripted Dom’s reaction to it was just ridiculous.

QueenofmyPrinces · 20/11/2019 08:13

More fantastic acting from Jac and Elliot last night. Rosie Marvel is just amazing in this storyline!!

SleepingStandingUp · 20/11/2019 09:16

I kissed the announcement but glad to hear Elliot doesn't die, I don't think I could finish the episode of he did.
I got to Dom hugging Lofty and Lofty just ignoring him and going back to the Mom so they could start labour. Does it get worse from there?

He is very gorgeous - yes!

That woman with the brain infection from the heart operation she had in a previous episode, is that the one he’s dating? I couldn’t quite tell?!

SoupDragon · 20/11/2019 11:22

Well, pretty much as you might expect really. They follow it through right to the end (although obviously they don't show a baby! They didn't go that far)

SleepingStandingUp · 20/11/2019 11:23

Yeah, Bea. Didn't he do the op?

I don't think Jac and Kian will get it on, they've known each other forever, if it hasn't happened by now it'd just be weird now.

QueenofmyPrinces · 20/11/2019 11:52

What I found odd was that after he was born and the mother said she didn’t want to hold him, the obstetrician lady just wrapped him in a sheet and walked off with him.

Would she really have just walked out onto a very busy acute admissions unit with a dead premature baby in her arms?

QueenofmyPrinces · 20/11/2019 11:54

And how many weeks pregnant was she supposed to be? I’m sure Lofty said she was 28 weeks pregnant but they only had her 20 week scan in the last episode didn’t they?!

SleepingStandingUp · 20/11/2019 18:37

Yes 28 cos I thought to start with oh she's 5 weeks behind me, let's see when she has the baby.

Thanks Soup, I appreciate being prepared
