That last thread filled up quickly! Here's a new one for us.

As a PP said, I can't quite forget how vile Dom was to Malik in the early days, so his rehabilitation has never made me warm to him. It looks as though his troubles aren't over, though. Carol to the rescue?

I think Charlotte is Cam's sister but don't hold me to that.

I was just sitting there screaming internally 'Call the fucking police!' as she was holed up in the bathroom. And why did she leave the bathroom when she could see him still prowling around? Why didn't Ange call the police, or Fletch? It was like a spoof horror movie.

SleepingStandingUp · 25/09/2019 16:46

I'm Chloe defense I think shock explains the initial not thinking to call Police, and her signal cut out with Ange so not sure whose signal it was.

However Flange not calling the Police was obviously ridiculous, you've have at least called them on the way.

SleepingStandingUp · 25/09/2019 16:47

And why did she leave the bathroom when she could see him still prowling around? she saw him out the front tho, and thought she could escape out the back

SleepingStandingUp · 25/09/2019 16:59

Why did they move him when it was clearly self defence? because if he died, it would still be worse for Chloe. Presumably they figured he'd die by the time the ambulance got to him

God that's a lovely big baby but why is it alone in a room with no nurse etc?

SleepingStandingUp · 25/09/2019 17:01

And how did Ange know he'd raped her?

Nonnymum · 25/09/2019 17:22

Why hasn't Mange called the police?
That's what I was shouting at the tv surely that's the first thing you would do if you heard your daughter in danger like that.
Also where were they. They seemed in the middle of nowhere but Holby was the nearest hospital.

Nonnymum · 25/09/2019 17:28

And how did Ange know he'd raped her?
I think she guessed by looking at her. Ange was raped when she got pregnant with Chloe so she probably looked at how traumatised Chloe was and suspected it. She asked her to confirm it though.

SleepingStandingUp · 25/09/2019 19:11

Good point Nonny

QueenofmyPrinces · 25/09/2019 21:11

When Ange found Even in the field I thought he was going to pull the knife out his chest and stab her with it!!

SoupDragon · 26/09/2019 07:58

I don't understand the rape thing as both were fully clothed and I can't quite fit it in with the timeline of her managing to stab him with the knife he had (I'm not saying it didn't happen, obviously). I can see the scenario where he tried and got stabbed in the tussle. She would look pretty traumatised even without a rape TBH! She's been pursued by a knife wielding stalker of an XH.

PretendLife · 26/09/2019 10:30

I guess we won't know if she was raped until next episode after she has been examined. Mange just made the whole situation worse by taking the screwdriver for no good reason.

This could either run with Chloe being charged with assault/murder if he dies or they might do that Holby thing of cutting stories off too quickly and have it all sewn up next week.

But as usual for Holby the storyline makes no sense. Holby City hospital is in a city...the secluded cottage in the middle of nowhere would have to be a reasonable distance from the city so Mange and Fletch driving separately, not calling the police or an ambulance, just doesn't make any sense.

Lazy scriptwriters, it really wouldn't have been that difficult to put a coherent story together.

SoupDragon · 26/09/2019 10:34

I think Holby is in Bristol so you wouldn't have to go too far to be very secluded

DocFartin · 26/09/2019 17:23

Why did Angie take the screwdriver? Chloe didn't even use that to stab him 🤷🏼‍♀️

SleepingStandingUp · 26/09/2019 18:21

Re the rape, tbf there's def a time gap from when she cameo it the corn and he had her onn the floor to her stabbing him and escaping. I'm actually glad it wasn't shown, I hope they don't make her pregnant.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 26/09/2019 18:41

Me too @SleepingStandingUp. I assume as it was before the watershed they just had to make the implication and let viewers fill in the gaps

spiderlight · 27/09/2019 09:33

I think Ange took the screwdriver to eliminate any suspicion that Chloe might have been intending to harm him rather than just running away like a good little girl.

QueenofmyPrinces · 27/09/2019 12:09

I thought she took the screwdriver because when Chloe said, “I stabbed him”, Ange assumed Chloe had stabbed him with the screwdriver and so she took it to hide the evidence.

EmeraldShamrock · 27/09/2019 21:21

I think Ange assumed chloe used the screwdriver. Fletch was following close behind, I was holding my breath for Chloe throughout the episode.

PretendLife · 01/10/2019 20:06

So, Mange is allowed in theatre with her daughters rapist?

cittigirl · 01/10/2019 20:11

I reckon Chloe stabbed him with the screwdriver. He had the knife and stabbed himself when he saw Ange coming and will say it was her.

Basketofkittens · 01/10/2019 20:35

I find it really annoying how everyone is saying “oh Evan will get away with it, he always does.” So the evidence from his ex-wife, Chloe’s injuries, all the messages from him, the fact that Chloe already had a restraining order against him....all that makes Evan the victim. Riighhhhttt.

Elderflower14 · 01/10/2019 20:49

Where is Dom? Surely he would have heard about his sister?

PretendLife · 01/10/2019 21:01

And where is Evan's sister?

All neatly tied up by the end of the episode.

Optimist1 · 01/10/2019 21:27

Blimey - at the beginning of that episode I thought that Evan was The Mad One, but I reckon Ange overtook him in that race about ten minutes in, and Cam was a strong contender by the end.

As @PretendLife says, Ange shouldn't have been permitted to operate on her daughter's stalker/rapist. Holby's always calling itself a centre of excellence - I'm sure they have more than two surgeons on the premises at any one time.

@SleepingStandingUp Mange asked Chloe last week if he'd raped her and Chloe nodded
