That last thread filled up quickly! Here's a new one for us.

As a PP said, I can't quite forget how vile Dom was to Malik in the early days, so his rehabilitation has never made me warm to him. It looks as though his troubles aren't over, though. Carol to the rescue?

They always call the "on call whatever" for a consultation about things that aren't their specialism so I guess this isn't different really. He can't ask whoever the specialist is for this.

SoupDragon · 19/09/2019 11:12

With the giant baby, couldn't they use the dummy babies they have to some of the Call the Midwife scenes? They do have real newborn (ish) babies for that too.

I couldn't work out why Essie would get struck off for looking after a "family" baby either. It doesn't make sense.

SleepingStandingUp · 19/09/2019 11:22

Maybe the lying and the dubious "famy" link from a random patient who turned up and merely claimed to be a niece of the deceased husband. There's no proof it is family.

SleepingStandingUp · 19/09/2019 12:44

wow that was a FAST labour!!

ISaySteadyOn · 20/09/2019 07:18

Ric was particularly vile to Cameron. It's like kicking a puppy. I think it's a brain tumor rather than dementia. Then Self will come back.

I don't think Evan is boring. I think he is incredibly sinister.

spiderlight · 20/09/2019 09:37

Oh God, not Guy Self! I cannot abide him. But yeah, you're right - he'll come back and save the day and Ric will be back operating within a fortnight.

PretendLife · 20/09/2019 11:26

Of course when you have a dangerous stalker for an ex the obvious thing to do is to go to a cottage in the middle of nowhere...alone...

Pushpull · 20/09/2019 13:33

I think Essie would get in trouble. In essence shes private fostering which is an arrangement that should be reported. There are also some pretty clear safeguarding concerns all round and she should have known to report them.

However, in the holby world im surprised by nothing!!!

Doubleraspberry · 24/09/2019 18:38

I thought it was lucky for Evan as a stalker that he put a tracker on her car just as she headed off to a remote cottage rather than headed home to her flat, as he must have assumed she would.

Frankly the very idea that someone who had cancer a year ago would be approved as an adoptive parent was so ludicrous to start with that the rest of it can’t be worse.

SoupDragon · 24/09/2019 19:39

He could have put the tracker on at any time in the past few weeks though.

PretendLife · 24/09/2019 20:40

Why hasn't Mange called the police?

SoupDragon · 24/09/2019 20:45

Forget Mange, Why did Chloe not call the police from the bathroom?

Elderflower14 · 24/09/2019 20:47

Why the bloody hell didn't she drive off in the car?
How did Ange get there so fast?
Why did Fletch go in a different car?

Blahblahblahnanana · 24/09/2019 20:51

God tonight is so frustrating. Why didn’t Chloe or her stupid mother call the police???

PretendLife · 24/09/2019 20:51

I'm about done with this idiotic programme!

SoupDragon · 24/09/2019 20:52

The car bonnet was up. Evan had disabled it.

BelindaBlinkingBlumenthall · 24/09/2019 21:01

What's all the 'getting the story straight'?

It couldn't be a clearer case of self defence 🤷🏼‍♀️

BelindaBlinkingBlumenthall · 24/09/2019 21:03

I'm not sure whether it's the drama or the silliness but I'm stressed now!!

StandardLampski · 24/09/2019 21:08

I am too
Was actually just sitting there now thinking that I felt really panicked

Am quite sensible really Grin

Optimist1 · 24/09/2019 21:13

Seems I'm not alone in frustration at tonight's episode! My further observations :

Why, when she got the opportunity to escape, did Chloe go upstairs ?

Why did Ange think it acceptable to leave a patient on the operating table (and a colleague's granddaughter, at that) without arranging for someone to take over while she went haring off to the country cottage?

Ditto Fletch, who was on duty too, although I never know quite what he does!

Can anyone tell me who called Cam (Charlotte, I think he said) and why it upset him so? And what the military types were handing over to him in the car park? I'm guessing it might have been written confirmation of Berni's death, but not sure.

OP posts:
Blahblahblahnanana · 24/09/2019 21:16

I just don’t understand why no one rang the police, Nicky could have notified the authorities too!

Is Charlotte Cam’s sister?

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 24/09/2019 22:06

I had a discussion with DH during tonight's episode. Do you think the cast get the script and think WTF is this nonsense or just that it's all totally normal?! Like PP have said, why didn't Ange phone the police at least when Chloe confirmed he was there and she didn't just suspect it? Why didn't Chloe phone the police? Why wasn't Fletch doing any work? Why did they move him when it was clearly self defence?

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 24/09/2019 23:02

I thought that the actors playing Chloe and Evan did a fantastic job tonight.

But so many holes in the plot, I agree. Even so, my heart broke for her sitting on that bed all alone at the end.

Rachelover60 · 25/09/2019 01:55

I was really scared for Chloe ! A very sinister episode.

Gladimnotcampinginthisweather · 25/09/2019 08:04

I was on my own in the house. 😱
I thought the actors were very good, but yes, the Police could have been called several times by different people.
What was the document Cam put in the bin, and who is Charlotte?
