That last thread filled up quickly! Here's a new one for us.

As a PP said, I can't quite forget how vile Dom was to Malik in the early days, so his rehabilitation has never made me warm to him. It looks as though his troubles aren't over, though. Carol to the rescue?

You're probably right, Queen - and then a couple of days later Frankie will reappear and want her daughter back!

So Essie will murder her and hide the body somewhere on the roof.

Optimist1 · 31/08/2019 00:18

Or in the Basement of Doom?

If she hid the body on the roof it would be found in no time, given the number of people who end up having existential crises up there!

AGnu · 03/09/2019 02:06

Essie said to Frankie that she can't look after a baby - she's by herself with no support. Perhaps SS approved her in theory but were reluctant to hand over a baby to someone who basically lives at work, has no local family & doesn't seem aware that her workplace has a crèche where all her colleagues dump their DC randomly with little notice.

I liked that the scene with Evan & the police was so female-dominated. It was the female officer who took charge of the situation & didn't give Evan an inch. I bet he hated a woman having power over him. And it was Nicky who took charge when Chloe started having a panic attack. Twas nice to see women sticking up for each other without a man riding in on his white horse to save the day.

I did think someone could've offered Chloe a cuppa before they left her alone... Something to leave with her that showed they cared. When I'm overwhelmed by anixety I like to be left alone but having something like a cuppa brought to me feels like a lifeline sometimes, like it's a connection back to the real world that I can grab hold of when I'm ready. I'd have made her a cuppa before I left. It was good to see people respecting her feelings though - that'll be important for her when she's trying to work through Evan's mind games - he says they're all trying to control her but they left when she asked them to, he didn't.

Tonight's episode is very powerful. My family knows that I wish to donate my organs...

Optimist1 · 03/09/2019 22:10

I remember Joseph being really wet when he was in it before, and he doesn't appear to have grown a backbone. Jac was involved with his dad before she took up with him, wasn't she?

OP posts:
Nonnymum · 03/09/2019 22:19

Wasn't he bullied by his Dad and did he have very serious panic attacks in surgery because of it?
Also didn't Faye have a disabled child in residential care? Wasn't she involved in some sort of scandal.

Grey7841 · 03/09/2019 22:36

Will Joesph come back when Jac wants to leave for good like they did with Max and Zoe in casualty

spiderlight · 04/09/2019 09:18

@Nonnymum - Faye's disabled child (Archie) died.

Was it just me, or was Fletch's 'Hurry up, chop chop' to Jac as she set off to harvest the heart profoundly disrespectful towards the donor and her family, and by extension to any donor families watching? Maybe I'm overthinking it but it really struck me.

PretendLife · 04/09/2019 12:42

It was a bit off....maybe Fletch got carried away because he actually had some proper work to do this week. He doesn't seem to get much airtime these days.

Nanamilly · 04/09/2019 14:00

This latest episode was ridiculous in the extreme.

Jac leaves the hospital after finishing the surgery and Fayes already sitting up in bed looking as if she's still to have her op let alone just be an hour or so out of theatre.

Nonnymum · 04/09/2019 17:58

Thank you,,spiderlight I couldn't remember but thought he might have.

SleepingStandingUp · 04/09/2019 20:10

I took it as typical hospital dark humour but yeah maybe not on a show....

He might have no backbone but he is cute. I think they should have shown us him getting changed

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 04/09/2019 22:12

@Nanamilly I thought the same when she told Joseph to leave and never come back. I said erm his wife is recovering from major surgery and likely to be in for several weeks in real life!!

SleepingStandingUp · 04/09/2019 22:50

She'll have got a transfer to St James by special arrangement

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 05/09/2019 09:05

Just catching up - didn't watch it when these characters were in it before and Patsy Kensit is a DREADFUL actor. She makes the rest look as if they're ready for their Oscars.

zizza · 05/09/2019 15:44

Eeugghh - when Patsy delivered that line "Tell her mummy loves her very much" I wanted to throw something at the TV. She really is bad....

HalleLouja · 05/09/2019 16:52

I loved Jac and Joseph ‘s scenes together. Though the plot line had loads of holes and Patay can’t act. Poor Fletch he loves Jac too.

HalleLouja · 05/09/2019 16:52

Patsy. Ffs.

SleepingStandingUp · 05/09/2019 16:55

Yeah when Fletch said "is he the reason I never stood a chance" waaaaaaaaah 😭😭😭😭

HalleLouja · 05/09/2019 17:29

When she kissed Joseph then pushed him away. To be shagging his dad didn’t really help her. Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 05/09/2019 18:46

There was a damn site more chemistry is that kiss than with Fletch!!!!

QueenofmyPrinces · 06/09/2019 21:04

I liked that episode - it was nice to see so much Jac and to actually see more depth to her character than just someone who makes catty comments.

And it was definitely lovely seeing Joseph back on the screen too...yum!!

SleepingStandingUp · 06/09/2019 21:28

He was a bit overdressed Grin
