Six main characters died there’s still the war against cersi remember and 3 more episodes. I agree about Sam edd died protecting him he should have been in the crypt.

I was expecting Jorah's death. He tied up all his loose ends. He told Dany Tyrion was a better choice for Hand, he spoke with Lyanna and she wished him luck and called him cousin despite him being kicked out the family and Sam gave him Heartsbane, and with it, the honour he lost back.

It's like Sam was trying to be "brave" by being up there, but the conversation with Tyrion and Sansa about facing the truth summed it up

Guess Arya's dance moves paid off.

Dagger confusion? Bran gave Arya the valerian steel dagger ages ago (did he know this day would come?)...but...I thought she gave it to Sansa when they did the “stick them with the pointy end” bit earlier in the episode

Red witch and Arya had a connection through the faceless ones, or whatever they were called and reminded her beforehand of her training, 'not today' etc.

I disagree. Sam seemed to get quite a lot of killing done. Yes, he had to have the dead pulled off of him and Ed died because of it. But Brienne needed the same help pretty early on, Jamie needed help at one point, Arya needed help, the Hound was cowering in the corner.

All the main characters needed help getting out from under a pile of dead at some point in the battle. They still needed everyone fighting, including Sam.

What a piece of television. Historic.

As if there is any chance of sleep after that! I need to go and watch Friends or something

Watching the events unfold as the ravens could see everything. Rhaghel looked injures wonder if he will survive.
