I've got 1-5 on Kindle. Easier than having 12lb of books in my bag Grin

Thank you for clarifying the valonqar prophecy in the show.

I guess Tyrion will not take revenge either:
I will hurt you for this. I don't know how yet, but give me time. A day will come when you think yourself safe and happy, and suddenly your joy will turn to ashes in your mouth, and you'll know the debt is paid.
They are such great friends now with pregnant Cersei.

I'll buy the books when DS is old enough to read them. For now my ebooks suffice.

DS loved Dunk and Egg. I know 11 is too young, but l was hoping he would stop after The Hedge Knight. There was no chance of that. He reads really fast. He loves Egg. And Dunk.

This is going to sound really nerdy, but I would really suggest getting them in in ebook form [cos footnotes]

Nah - you need both!

Right, researched ep. 3 last night and I have a question. When Jon shouts 'Bran' to Dany and she replies 'Go!' WTF doesn't she fly Jon direct to the Gods Wood??? Thus saving valuable time and him having to fight his way through Winterfell.

This is the same epic error in LOTR. The giant eagles could have so easily just flown the Fellowship directly to Mount Doom, Frodo could have dropped the ring in the fire (before it got too much of a hold over him) and Bob's your uncle.

Another thing. When the NK slowly emerges unhurt from Drogon's flaming, the music is exactly the same as in Terminator when the cyborg skeleton emerges from the fire. Anyone else notice this?

GreyGardens88 · 05/05/2019 09:58

I reckon Jaime and Tyrion will be killed in next episode or at least one of them

DeadWife · 05/05/2019 10:07

Would recommend to those who aren't so up for reading the books to listen to the audio versions. Audible is good.

DS 15 has swiped my original first copy, maybe we can encourage a new generation of readers?

SapatSea · 05/05/2019 10:26

Jaime is the "kingslayer" and Cersei's "little" brother . IIRC she was born first. So I reckon he will have to kill her. He'll be shattered by it and perhaps kill himself too.

I liked the Euron actor when he was in Borgen and thougt he did a good job but just don't buy him in this role. Will he unleash the "dragon binder" horn(?) to stymie Dany?

I considered this as I do like an audiobook but thought it might be too hard to follow 🤔

DeadWife · 05/05/2019 10:48

Honestly don't think think it would be Alice as reading it initially it took a little while for me to place all the characters and houses but they would be familiar to you now.

DeadWife · 05/05/2019 10:48

Think

AliceRR · 05/05/2019 11:30

@Deadwife The first audiobook is 33 hours long!

Not sure I like the narration (from the sample) but presumably I’d get used to it

AliceRR · 05/05/2019 11:31

And I don’t recognise any of the names 🤔

OrianaBanana · 05/05/2019 11:59

The eagles don’t want to go to Mordor. Why should they? They don’t give a monkeys about the ring and think they’ve done too much already as a favour to Gandalf.

OrianaBanana · 05/05/2019 12:00

They’re also on the east side of the mountains and they didn’t manage to get over there.

AliceRR · 05/05/2019 12:08

Do I need to watch / read LOTR too?

I’ve never seen it

Selfish as I'm not discussing it openly in case anyone hasn't seen it

SapatSea · 08/05/2019 12:05

Looks like Dany will be rash and burn the place down, including all the innocents. Missandei's last words were "Dracarys".

Agree with others that Jaime and Brienne should not have happened. He is her big daydream crush like Renly, making her a knight was perfect. Jaime will always to my mind be totally devoted sexually and emotionally to Cersei even if that means he ends up killing her.
