I used to go round old buildings imagining what the ghosts might be trying to say to me so it's nice to see that presented on TV.

Ha ha I always do this! Sometimes I do it at home too, just thinking about who else may have lived here before us (but then I start to scare myself so stop!). We think of it as our house but actually we're just passing though.

the peasant woman was burnt, ie put on trial for being a witch, in case that reference had bypassed anyone

It didn't bypass me Horace. That's why I quoted her on her ability to make "livings smell burnings".

I think it’s fab

But would you beleive someone if they said they saw dead people

The80sweregreat · 24/04/2019 14:07

My granny was a spiritualist..

But no I'd not believe it!

DH Aunt was a spritulist she had a collecction of local papers going back decades she would only do "readings" in a 5 mile radius of her house Hmm

Mrsjayy · 24/04/2019 17:35

And she wasn't even his real aunty Mil used to insist they called her Aunty

Ha ha mrsjayy! I do believe some people ' have the gift' to contact the dead ( not all are charlatans) but some also ' have the gift of extracting money ' . Spirituality is another subject like religion and politics, best left alone.
( i tend to sit on the fence with all that and go with ' must be something in it' as I don't like to believe some people would make it up !)

I love it and although it’s a bit Rentaghost it’s got some really funny lines. I wish it was an hour long though. I just get settled into it and boom! It’s over. Hopefully a second series will be longer episodes.

I've watched this with my 11yo DS and we both love it, its very silly but has me laughing out loud.

DH was going to watch it without me .He likes silly humour and didn't think I would like it.But we have just watched the 2 episodes and I've laughed out loud numerous times.Charlotte Ritchie is a great comedic actress .The trouserless politician was the rival detectorist in Makenzie Crookes series of the same name.We loved that .Think this will be as enjoyable,if dafter.

It’s a hoot. No need for everything to be edgy or adult themed (much as I enjoy both) - a bit silly and funny from time to time does just fine.

Loved it ! Also from Motley hall / rentaghost and even Lizzy Dripping era Smile

Thank you to a previous poster for the CTM reference - I knew I'd seen the actress before, but couldn't for the life of me think where. She's so different from Barbara in this!

Really enjoying this series...helps that I know (slightly) Jim Howick, aka the scoutmaster with the arrow through his neck from walking dogs in the local park together. He was telling me about the show when they were writing/filming it and it sounded like they all had a great laugh working on it.

I'm loving this series more with every episode. I love Pat, he reminds me of one of the dads at DDs school who is an all round good egg. Smile

Yeah but Pat's hair style is a wonder to behold.

Really enjoying how this is developing. Filled up a bit at Pat's grandson. Loving the little throwaway things, like the army guy referring to the builder as 'the handsome one' and the MP's encyclopaedic knowledge of sexual positions!
