It's actually funny!

I've watched it with my 13 year old and we've really enjoyed it.

Mrsjayy · 23/04/2019 08:03

Aww it is so silly just a joy to watch I think my favourite is Robin the caveman Grin

AGoodWench · 23/04/2019 08:47

I like the running gag about the boiler advice.

zukiecat · 23/04/2019 10:34

Mrsjavy

I love Robin The Caveman

So funny the way he kept appearing in odd places Grin

Mrsjayy · 23/04/2019 10:46

The fridge and he wasn't even cold Smile i think we are going to get how threy died each new episode

The80sweregreat · 23/04/2019 10:47

I didnt enjoy it as much as last week and found it a bit irritating. i was disappointed!

LIZS · 23/04/2019 11:09

It was a bit frantic. I felt they squeezed enough material for two episodes into one. Loved the head popping up and ghosts fixing the boiler. Favourite was Mat in the bath and wooing her ! Blush

the pencil that is an arrow is annoying me still.

Catchingbentcoppers · 23/04/2019 11:46

Loved last night's episode. Really refreshing to find a comedy that's just a bit silly and funny.

covetingthepreciousthings · 23/04/2019 22:48

We enjoyed the second episode, still agree it should be on earlier though.

ineedaholidaynow · 23/04/2019 22:51

I suppose the MP without his trousers on might be a bit tricky to explain to younger viewers

superoz · 23/04/2019 22:59

Is this suitable for an 11 year old? I haven’t got around to watching it yet but dd has seen the trailers and recognised the HH crew, so is wondering if it’s scary seeing as it’s on after 9pm.

WhenIsTheEasyBit · 23/04/2019 23:04

Loved both episodes so far. The trouserless MP was brilliant. Loved Yonderland, by the same team, and similarly silly in an intelligent way. And the Stupid Death guy often got near naked in that too!

Milicentbystander72 · 23/04/2019 23:06

I'd say was suitable for 11 year olds. My 11 year old loves it but he's quite hard to scare. It's silly rather than scary though. The word sex can be mentioned but nothing rude shown.

I love the Peasant woman the best but that perhaps because I'm in the West Country so am fond of her accent.

"When I go through livings, they smell burnings"

"You need it to be about 5 potatoes high"

Grin
ineedaholidaynow · 23/04/2019 23:10

It's not scary at all (I'm the biggest wuss in our family and I haven't been scared). It is just silly (but in a good way). If they like HH they should be fine, but you might have to explain the trouserless MP (obviously died with his pants down!)

HoraceCope · 23/04/2019 23:13

Episode 2 was good, with the dead doctor

HoraceCope · 23/04/2019 23:15

I did get slightly irritated but still enjoyed it

AnyoneButAnton · 23/04/2019 23:17

There’s some sexual references. Lady Button caught her husband in a threesome with two other men and the MP refers obliquely to various sex scandals. And the atmosphere is pretty scary at the beginning even though nothing really happens: it’s filmed like an actual horror movie.

I wouldn’t say “on no account show this to a pre-teen!” But have a bit of a think.

Petalflowers · 24/04/2019 07:04

My favourites are the poet and the mp.

SoupDragon · 24/04/2019 07:14

The dead doctor was wonderful. I do wish they hadn't used him on the trailer though.

Saucery · 24/04/2019 07:16

Alison looks so like Margot Kidder in this, much more than she did in Call The Midwife.
Loved it when she got exasperated and asked them all what the wanted “Captain Caveprick” Grin

Mrsjayy · 24/04/2019 08:14

HA captain caveprick I missed that 😁 no she doesn't look like Barbara from CTM at all

Catchingbentcoppers · 24/04/2019 08:18

My 12 year old watched it last night and loved it. She mentioned that the MP had died while he was getting dressed in the morning. Grin

Saucery · 24/04/2019 08:23

He would prefer everyone to think that Grin

Saucery · 24/04/2019 08:26

It's not as subtle as Quacks but it's ideal for those of the Motley Hall era. I used to go round old buildings imagining what the ghosts might be trying to say to me so it's nice to see that presented on TV.
