I was going to say the same ILoveMaxi, it's ridiculous the way she's never at the school.

I'm really annoyed that the police haven't been informed about Jacob and Maya, who in their right mind wouldn't inform them when something like this happened.

I wish they'd left Lisas story for another time, I don't feel it will get the airtime it deserves, it will be overshadowed by all the other big stories.

JaneJeffer · 15/05/2019 20:38

Chas set me off again tonight Sad

I hope Jacob rings David to come and get him now.

Dawn's dad has too much time on his hands designing those funeral leaflets Hmm

PrincessScarlett · 15/05/2019 21:08

Jacob smashed his phone and only has £2.50 to his name so hopefully he'll have enough to get the bus to Emmerdale.

I hope they call the police now and Maya feels the full force of the law.

LHMB · 15/05/2019 21:16

Me too Jane, that scene with Chas and Lisa had me in tears Sad

ILoveMaxiBondi · 15/05/2019 21:45

Ahhh poor Jacob!! She’s abandoned him alone in a hotel with no money and no phone!

Smidge001 · 15/05/2019 22:01

She gave him a burner phone. I'm pretty sure he could ask the people on reception to call his dad. Maya probably didn't pay the bill, so they'll be happy to get an adult to cough up Grin

ILoveMaxiBondi · 15/05/2019 22:14

Oh I forgot he had a burner phone. He could ask reception to ring David but only if David has a landline and is in the phone book! Or I suppose he might have a FB page or website for his shop?

HettySunshine · 16/05/2019 07:33

In this day and age it's really not that hard to get hold of someone. He just needs to go to reception and ask them to call: the shop, the pub, his school, the scrapyard, king haulage, the salon, the church.

Hope it's not going to be made into a big thing.

Smidge001 · 16/05/2019 07:36

Why can he only call from reception if David has a land-line?! Surely they can call his mobile number from reception Confused

ILoveMaxiBondi · 16/05/2019 08:57

Only if he knows the mobile number. Do people still memorise mobile numbers?

Smidge001 · 16/05/2019 11:53

I certainly know the mobile numbers of close family. Maybe not wider friends, but surely David would have made his son memorise it from when he was young (and didn't have his own phone)? We teach the kids to learn our mobile numbers off by heart just in case.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 16/05/2019 13:16

The only mobile numbers i know are my own and my dads and that’s because he’s had the same number for over 20 years. I don’t know my sons number or my mum’s etc. Perhaps I should get DS to learn my number incase a teacher runs off with him! Grin I would teach both DSes but there’s no chance of any teachers running off with DS2. They’ve all met him. Hmm Grin

bizzey · 16/05/2019 14:46

I dont even know my own number !

JaneJeffer · 16/05/2019 18:35

Maxi Grin

JaneJeffer · 16/05/2019 18:49

I only know DH's number. I'm not sure if he'd come to get me if a teacher ran off with me though.

JaneJeffer · 17/05/2019 12:37

Dawn's dad bought a coffin, got it to the church somehow and set it up with a framed photo on top without anyone noticing. Ok then. It was hilarious when he tried to crush Harriet with it though Grin

ellenanora5 · 17/05/2019 13:08

I know Jane I was thinking the same, unless he brought it in bit by bit and built it in the church really quietly Grin bloody ridiculous, and she's going to let him get away with it too.

I'm getting increasingly pissed off with David not ringing the police.

JaneJeffer · 17/05/2019 13:17

Olivia Bromley (Dawn) was on The Six O'Clock Show here yesterday. She's lovely.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 17/05/2019 13:21

It was hilarious when he tried to crush Harriet with it though

It really was. Grin

PrincessScarlett · 17/05/2019 13:36

Ellenanora, I'm getting increasingly pissed off too that noone has called the police about Maya.

JaneJeffer · 17/05/2019 13:39

I wonder who has been phoning Jamie Tate. Any chance it's Joe? Please come back with your lovely eyelashes.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 17/05/2019 13:47

There’s definitely something about those Tate boys and their lovely eyes.

KurriKawari · 17/05/2019 15:45

I cant imagine any decent/level headed parent waiting this long to call the police. They don't even explain WHY they're not calling police. Jacob has nothing wrong so who are the protecting?

ILoveMaxiBondi · 17/05/2019 15:50

It’s weird kurri. Why is David so opposed to it? Does he want to protect Maya? Because he still loves her? I don’t think he is protecting Leyla.

PrincessScarlett · 17/05/2019 15:59

I think David has alluded to wanting to gain Jacob's trust and if he phoned the police Jacob would hate him.

But the fact Jacob is so brainwashed David has nothing to lose by calling the police. If the police are involved Jacob will get the professional help he needs to understand what has happened.

I wonder whether similar stories will come out about Maya when she's caught (I'm hoping she's caught). Liam's daughter has implied how nasty Maya is so wouldn't surprise me if she's been up to no good before arriving in the village. And Maya doesn't get on with her mum (she went mad when David contacted her) so perhaps her mum has seen her with a school kid before.
