Yes I hope there will be something that ties up Lianna’s perception of Maya and Maya’s Mother situation with what we now know about her. It would be nice to think the writers had actually planned this story right from the start and been dropping little hints all along.

I wonder though if Jacob was a girl being groomed by an older Male whether the soap would handle it differently? I just think when its boy they dont take it as seriously and it's always more "sensational".

I think so kurri. It’s quite shocking really how differently it is perceived. Well actually leyla, Tracy and priya did what I imagine many men might do if they found out a male friend had groomed one of their daughters- bundle him in a car and drag him out to a secluded place for a beating. (Of course the women didn’t actually beat Maya up) but David and Eric’s responses have been really disappointing. And I reckon leyla should have phoned the police as soon as she knew Maya was alive and well.

Someone needs to phone the police!! I'm really disappointed how this is currently panning out. Particularly given how quick they got the police involved when Lachlan assaulted Alicia.

Imagine if Robron do adopt Vic's baby, they'll live in a very confusing family situation. Liv is more like a daughter than a sister to either of them, then there's rob baby with rebecca and now Rob's nephew/niece might be brought up as their child too.

I can’t see how Victoria could stay in the village if she gave her baby to robron. It would be hugely traumatic for her to see a daily reminder of not only her rape but the baby she gave away.

It was bad enough that they had Robert cheat on Aaron to give them a baby. It was so unpopular and they had umpteen chances to fix it and say Ross was the father but they stuck with it. They could easily have said it never happened as Robert was too drunk to know what really went on but they carried on regardless. It doesn't give me much hope for this storyline.

I could get on board with her keeping the baby for herself if it's written as her right to choose not as the only thing to do.

I haven't watched this week. Please tell me the coffin crushin' has sent annoying Harriet up to meet her maker? It really does sound hilarious

Female teacher/male student abuse cases always attract salacious headlines and never seem to be taken seriously.

Sadly the coffin incident didn't lead to the demise of Harriet but hopefully we have seen the last of Dawn and her dad.

I don't understand this Maya storyline, why haven't they called the police? How many parents wouldn't call the police if their child had been groomed? Sometimes Emmerdale writers are away with the fairies.

David wants to have his say with Maya before calling the police , he’s putting his feelings before doing the right thing !

I wouldn't mind Cain and Charity getting together if it splits her and Vanessa up because they make such an unconvincing couple. Charity has had to change so much and not in a good way to accommodate the relationship. I miss her hilarious scheming antics.

Liv walked in on jacob and Maya in bed. Maybe she would make that up as revenge for Jacob dumping her, but....

Liv recorded Jacob discussing their relationship.- so let’s say that was just Jacobs fantasy....

Priya saw them snogging! That wasn’t jacobs fantasy! Priya saw it. What reason would Priya have to make that up? She had no issue with Maya.

They also have emails discussing them going away.

The police can access phone records to see how many texts and calls were sent between the two of them with dates and times.

And proof that they were in a hotel together (CCTV) and that Maya tried to raise the money to pay Liv. She sold her car and David knew about it.

There is too much evidence for it all to be explained away by revenge or a misunderstanding or Jacobs fantasy.

Oooh Maya is going to bring them all down!

I'm assuming/hoping that Jacob will crack and tell the truth when Liv faces going back to young offenders for blackmail as he will feel too guilty for what he's done to Liv.

But agree, there must be so much evidence, phone records, priya/Liv that it would be ludicrous for Maya to get off.

I don't think Cain's getting with anyone. I don't see him flirting at all. He and moira sorted things out as soon as she fessed up to why she wasn't there at Lisa's homecoming. They're fine.
Mind you I didn't really think he was acting much in today's episode though. He seemed far too genuinely smiley at one point when belle, Lisa and grandpa were talking about the wedding.
