Sorry couldn't see a thread for this..

Did anyone watch it last night?

Just catching up with it now on iPlayer. I'm pleased to see Lynn is in it.

I love Partridge but I thought this was disappointing.

Lottapianos · 26/02/2019 21:20

I loved it. He's such a fantastic character- hilarious and horrifying at the same time. I especially loved the 'having a wee on a train without using your hands' bit Grin

WhiteNancy · 26/02/2019 21:30

Really loved it here.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 26/02/2019 22:47

I watched most of it from behind a cushion Grin.

I almost found him too tragic and as Lotta says I think it's the whole point but it was almost too excruciating!

OneToThree · 27/02/2019 08:48

Loved it Grin

Inkanta · 27/02/2019 09:15

I liked it! Smile

KitTheCat · 27/02/2019 09:17

Didn't do it for me.

beerandpopcorn · 27/02/2019 09:31

I sniggered a LOT! It's going to grow into itself. Like Car Share!

AnnPerkins · 27/02/2019 09:38

I was a bit disappointed. The wee on the train bit went on too long IMO.

Clunt/Fluck made me laugh a lot Grin

I think maybe I need to see this one more than once. His other stuff still makes me laugh when I rewatch it.

Walney · 27/02/2019 12:16

I thought it was great, there were bits that didn't seem to work but on the whole it was just hilarious. He has made such a brilliant character even if it is painful to watch sometimes!

FeralBeryl · 27/02/2019 12:30

I am a HUGE obsessed Partridgian but I struggled with it Confused I didn't get the silly voices he was doing - terrorist etc and like others I found it almost too painful in places.
Obviously hoping as others say it's a grower not a shower Wink

HebeMumsnet · 27/02/2019 12:36

I loved it but TBH I have never had a very sophisticated sense of humour. Clunt/Fluck is still making me snigger like a fool now.

ChristineBaskets · 27/02/2019 13:55

I really enjoyed it. Loved his face when the co-presenter stole his jokes, Lynne comparing her to 'the slag from the Bible', Clunt/Fluck and the corrections about BP/Shell Grin

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 27/02/2019 14:15

God yes, Evil Lynne! I love how she's still earring her mac and has the same style handbag.

I was in Asda yesterday and in the same aisle as a mum and her two kids, I reckon 3 and 6. 3 year old was in the trolley seat and brother playing in the aisle and whenever he wanted his brothers attention little one would yell "Dan. Dan. Dan.Dan" it was like Mini Partridge.

MistakenHoliday · 27/02/2019 14:15

My favourite bit was the story about his grandad. Oh, the pathos! I think it will get better every week, and bad Partridge is better than most other comedy at the moment, to be honest...

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 27/02/2019 14:16

Wearing even. Poor woman has earned her coat and more Grin

covetingthepreciousthings · 27/02/2019 16:24

Did anyone else think some of the bits with Lynn were a bit odd? Almost like they had filmed her voice over the top of someone standing in for her just showing the back of her?
Just watching it seemed a bit disjointed.

I enjoyed it overall, but agree, it isn't the same as the old Partridge. I think it'll be a grower though.

DH and I are still singing the well known nursery rhyme "After the pee or poo has landed..." Grin

headinhands · 27/02/2019 16:33

It gave me the cringe like never before.

headinhands · 27/02/2019 16:34

I loved it!

TranquilityofSolitude · 27/02/2019 16:44

I was torn between cringing and laughing, but that's how he always makes me feel. I loved "So it's from hygiene to bye Jean" and the whole leopard seals segment.

headinhands · 27/02/2019 16:48

'Hhhwarter' 😂

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 27/02/2019 17:07

Ha! Hy-Jean was hilarious! And when he was being all creepy over her hands!

Glad he's back, especially on a Monday as I'm not feeling The Walking Dead love any more!

headinhands · 27/02/2019 18:35

I keep watching it. He's a bloody genius. Not seen the co-presenter before. She's definitely one to watch, I reckon she'll be in lots more stuff.

PuppyMonkey · 27/02/2019 18:39

I swear I met someone several years ago who told me an anecdote of doing the exact same Clunt/Fluck mix up in RL. He was an old school journalist, must be retired a long time by now. Wonder if Coogan met him some time.Grin
