Sorry couldn't see a thread for this..

Did anyone watch it last night?

Just catching up with it now on iPlayer. I'm pleased to see Lynn is in it.

Daves your username is awesome Grin

Yes the credits are ace - doesn't he do that cringey one leg up thing to emphasise the tackle?!

Oh and usually the receptionist glares at him but did you notice she was smiley this week?

Savoury99 · 29/03/2019 22:18

We watched Alpha Papa again tonight. Forgot how funny that was.

headinhands · 30/03/2019 17:20

The opening credits are so funny, especially when he does that hoppy/skippy thing with both hands in his back pockets.

I was going to mention this the other day but wasn't sure I'd be able to describe what he's doing Grin

Has anyone watched tonight's? Both me & my dh genuinely laughed out loud at so many points, I'm presuming it's the last one though.

Yes! I loved it tonight. The Other Bloke was fantastic. The way he was mouthing unconsciously along to Alan's lines, omg. But then he picked up steam.

I'm hoping the DG will give Alan a slap on the wrist but viewing figures will put forward a new double act - a new Ant 'n Dec!

I found Jennie a bit underdeveloped whereas the other bloke (whose name I clearly never bothered to learn) was much more well rounded from the first. So I'd be happier with the double act/rivalry.

That said, the Jennie partnership was amazing to prise out Alan's increasingly desperate efforts to be less sexist for the ratings.

He’s an absolute genius and partridge is the gift that keeps on giving. The whole thing has been brilliant. I thought I’d die at the Scottish guest segment then that whole piece with the Alan impersonator was just laughs layered on laughs. The writers and Coogan are masters. I genuinely can’t live without partridge in my life.

covetingthepreciousthings · 02/04/2019 07:01

Is it on again next week or was that the last one?

I really hope they bring it back as those two as a double act, thought Tim Key was brilliant (I'm sure that's the other guys name).

He was amazing, every sweaty nervous giggle was perfect.

KittyWindbag · 02/04/2019 23:38

Tim key is great too. Have you seen Alan partridge Mid Morning Matters? sidekick Simon appears on that and he’s a marvellous addition to the cast. I love the oddballs that Alan attracts. All of his mishaps with the social media stuff had me cringing and crying with laughter

AndSheWas85 · 04/04/2019 18:12

@KittyWindbag yes totally agree, Mid Morning Matters is fantastic, peak Partridge as they say.

Also the audiobook I Partridge is brilliantly funny too, even more so as it is read by Coogan in Partridge's voice.
I love this series and I'm pretty sure I read that there is more Partridge to come on the BBC.
In the the mean we Richard Madeley to keep us entratained.😁

Alpha Papa is a very funny film.

This is hit and miss at times but the sketch with him being arrested with his 'doppelgänger ' was good and quite clever.

cushioncovers · 04/04/2019 20:41

Loved when Tim went to get up when Alan stood and Alan said nooo. Grin

Savoury99 · 05/04/2019 13:10

Really loved Tim. I loved the skirt bit too. When Alan made Tim feel the fabric and how Alan went camp. So funny.
