Watched. Loved it. Great first episode. What a cast Star

mrsmuddlepies · 06/03/2019 07:28

I loved it. So clever but ultimately touching.
I agree with comments about Andrew Scott. He is such a distinctive actor.

weaselwords · 06/03/2019 07:35

God, I wish I was more like Fleabag. She does all the things I really want to.

The80sweregreat · 06/03/2019 11:15

You can fashion these horrible paper towels into wings..
I found some of it a bit irritating, her sister not telling them about her miscarriage seemed a bit jarring, but i will stick with it as i thought it was a just an awkward first episode after the first series being so well received etc.

Deathraystare · 06/03/2019 14:36

Wished I seen the first lot. Really enjoyed it.

diddl · 06/03/2019 15:38

I enjoyed it, although can see why some might not like the subject matter.

The sister's husband is awful, isn't he?

Did she come to realise that do we think & that maybe what happened between him & Fleabag was at his instigation?

Did the sister really blame FB for what happened to Boo though?

NKFell · 06/03/2019 15:47

Love this! I find myself smiling/cringing and then crying. It's so cleverly written. PWB is amazing.

Blackcatonthebed · 06/03/2019 15:53

It definitely was at his instigation, hes a creep

EyesAreNeverClosing · 06/03/2019 16:26

Wished I seen the first lot. Really enjoyed it.

If you have iplayer, the first series is available to watch on there.

HoraceCope · 06/03/2019 18:01

i dont think the sister blames her for boo, i spect she blames herself.

The last episode of series one is sublime.
It's worth watching them all just for that.

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 06/03/2019 20:16

deathray also on amazon prime?

drigon · 06/03/2019 20:56

Excellent first episode! I like all the characters. Andrew Scott was very good as Hot Priest. Always found the neurotic sister interesting and enjoy Fleabag's knowing looks to camera.

Moanranger · 06/03/2019 22:56

Great characterisation of the interplay between the sisters, sort of love-hate. Captures a fundamental truth.
And Olivia Colman - wonderfully irritating character!

Travelledtheworld · 06/03/2019 23:41

So thrilled we have a new series. I binge watched the first. Andrew Scott just adds value to the best show (not ) on TV at the moment.

humblesims · 07/03/2019 15:42

Just watched the first episode of series 2. Then watched it again! I never do that. It was soooo fucking good. A tour de force. The epic soundtrack and the nifty sideways looks to camera, the editing (the way they cut Olivia Colman half way through the word "lesbi..."
Andrew Scott my absolute favourite crush and Waller-Bridge my girl crush. And Olivia Colman. Perfect. Hohum.

HoraceCope · 07/03/2019 18:18

me too, watched it on iplayer, and then live on bbc! Grin

Watched episode one again today. SO good. I'm already feeling sad about there being no series 3 and series 2 has only just started.
Also having serious body envy of pwb in that jumpsuit. Exactly the sort of thing I'd always like to have worn and never could.

mizu · 07/03/2019 18:39

I've watched it again too - never do that. Very watchable. Loved Olivia Coleman's comment " was it the one with the teeth?" and her little rabbit teeth impression Grin

Moanymoaner123 · 07/03/2019 18:43

I loved the first series of Fleabag, I had no idea there was a new series. Got all excited seeing this post and fired up iplayer on my iPad only to realise I'm abroad and it doesn't work grrrr. I will have wait now and I don't want to!

Deathraystare · 07/03/2019 19:07

deathray also on amazon prime?

Rage against (great name) - I only have bog standard telly. No internet at home, no prime etc etc. Just grateful that some of these fab programmes come up now and again. I get a real hissy fit when something is advertised as on Sky/Netflix/Amazon Prime etc etc.

HelmutFrontbut · 07/03/2019 19:30

I was gunning for her the whole meal, properly clenched! The last scene in the taxi made me well up Sad

EachandEveryone · 09/03/2019 15:45

Whats the sister been in before?

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 09/03/2019 16:02

Vanity Fair?

HoraceCope · 11/03/2019 20:00

part 2 available Grin
