ok I really do not like shineyKate/Chelsea and omg Robbofatguys girlfriend is a bunnyboiler.

Cel982 · 23/02/2019 16:04

Just catching up on the last week's episodes. Ziggy's behabiour is appalling!! I don't know how Brody puts up with her. (And yes, I know, Simone is about to make a play for Brody, but up until now she actually hadn't done anything inappropriate, and Ziggy is ticking every box on the 'crazy jealous wife' list.) It's bad bad writing.

And I'm definitely Team Tori, but she was way out of order asking Jasmine to pressure Robbo again, I don't blame J for losing the head.

ChoccyJules · 24/02/2019 00:04

I think Ziggy can see what’s going on with that oh so charming trainee. And did you see how Brody looked over at her when he was hugging Zig?!

SleepingStandingUp · 24/02/2019 06:47

Yeah I'm team Zig. She can totally see through Simone and how Brody isn't exactly dispelling it. The look he gave her during the hug, he totally knows. And that whole "you can't work here because if you do...". Bloody stupid man.

Cel982 · 24/02/2019 19:31

Oh they're all terrible, but Ziggy was obnoxious to Simone long before Simone did anything even vaguely controversial. And, not to get all Mumsnetty about it, if she has an issue it should be with Brody, not with Simone. Setting her up on cringey dates with Mason and going through her phone is batshit behaviour. And running back to her parents (literally) crying that Simone is after her husband but he doesn't realise it... I kept waiting for Sensible Maggie to say "Well, if you trust Brody then you don't have anything to worry about." You let me down, Sensible Maggie.

Sorry, I'm just annoyed because Terrible Ziggy is so terrible, and now she's going to be rewarded by having been Right All Along, even though at the time there was no justification for her paranoia.

I seem rather fired up about this Blush

SleepingStandingUp · 24/02/2019 21:10

The Main date came after she crashed the family party and tried in Brodys clothes though right? And the cringey locked cupboard feeding. agree she shouldn't have touched the phone.

Fortheloveofscience · 24/02/2019 21:40

I think Simone’s been suss from the start - all the turning up early, the ludicrous compliments, hanging on his every word and the way he seemed to love the attention would have set my alarm bells ringing too. All his saying ‘oh no she’s just an ordinary employee/I’m just being nice’ felt more like him gaslighting Ziggy when it was obvious that there was something there.

SleepingStandingUp · 24/02/2019 21:44

Yeah the huge bid for the cooking class and then getting him to give her a job. She's fluffed his ego and he's fallen for it.

Fortheloveofscience · 24/02/2019 21:54

And particularly when he knows that Ziggy has been cheated on before. Of course she’s going to be sensitive to some (apparently) pretty girl coming in and fawning all over her husband.

SleepingStandingUp · 24/02/2019 22:30

I've warmed to Zig after she was the only one to properly call out Justin the Emotional Abuser

Cel982 · 25/02/2019 14:19

Yeah... I'm not buying it. Maybe if Ziggy was played by a better actress. The whole storyline has been really badly done, IMHO.

(And on the Justin thing, I'm going to make the same point I made pages ago which nobody responded to that if the roles were reversed and the AIBU was "My boyfriend insists on remaining 'friends' with the woman he was shagging the entire time we were broken up", I think the responses would be very different. I don't think Justin is completely right, but I don't think it's as simple as "he's an arsehole who just wants to control her".)

Ok, if anyone wants me I'll be over here banging my tiny little drum... Wink

SleepingStandingUp · 25/02/2019 16:11

But it's Home and Away. If people didn't talk to their ex's, no one under 40 could talk to any one!!!

I also think the "Dean is more than just an ex" thing is relevant. They've been friends their hole lives and she's never cheated in Justin with him. He basically told her she couldn't have both of them in her life and when near the end she called him in it he has lighted her saying oh I told you it was fine.

I didn't dislike him before that, I felt really sorry for him when thingy went to America to sing but his whole relationship with Willow was unhealthy, typical rescuer with coercive control thrown in

Cel982 · 25/02/2019 16:54

But it's Home and Away. If people didn't talk to their ex's, no one under 40 could talk to any one!!!

Well, that's certainly true Grin

I agree it was an unhealthy relationship, Willow never really seemed at ease in it. I suppose I'm just saying that if Justin felt he couldn't see a way forward for them while she and Dean remained so involved in each other's lives, that's understandable and not unreasonable. Most people would not feel truly comfortable with their partner hanging out with a very recent ex all the time, even if they have been friends for years. I think calling that 'coercive control' is a big stretch.

SleepingStandingUp · 25/02/2019 17:05

I think it's totally OK to not be OK with it. But if you don't like who your fairly new girlfriend is ifetime friends with, it's on you to walk away.

I just think because he "rescued" her from the baddies, "rescued" her from her addiction, then the whole Dean thing stinks of "rescuing" her from her old life because she can be so much better now! It was never an equal relationship, he always had more power be ause she was just silly Willow who needed big brave Justin to rescue her.
Yet from her entrance and the stuff coming from their childhoods she's meant to be this string feisty woman but he totally cowed her for a while.

It wasn't even like he was in the cusp of soem huge commitment, when she said OK where are we going he was like, erm....

I think it showed him in a really really bad light telling her that she couldn't be friends with Dean if she wanted to be with him. That for me is reason enough to dump his ass.

Tori and I think Brody commented on it but I wouldn't have expected Tori to be more opinionated on it.
There was only Ziggy that wa wow, he said what?? I think if it wasn't for her, Willow would still be with him, I don't think he'd have liked her doing her college course as its so time consuming and he'd have felt pushed out. She would just be more and more isolated and he'd just stand their hands inn the air and claim he was just doing what was best for her.

I DO NOT LIKE IT WHEN BABY MORGAN IS MY FAVOURITE MALE MORGAN!!!!!!

Obvs Raffy is my favourite Morgan

SleepingStandingUp · 25/02/2019 17:10

I'd love to read Tori's AIBU.

Dear MN. I have a male friend. Its complicated. I helped get his case for murder etc quashed a d I was the only person who stood by him after his fiance died.
Anyway, he's now dating the woman who was i the crash where aforementioned fiance died and she and I work together.
I convinced him to be my baby Daddy, strictly hand and turkey baster job. We did one cycle of IVF and unfortunately I had a miscarriage. He was devestated as it brought up issues about this older children who died at the hands of some bad guy he was working a case against and he understandably never got over it. I was upset too but I'm 30 and I'm getting desperate so had hoped we can move on.
This is where the AIBU comes in. He has said he's out, no more babies with me. But there's an embryo in the freezer and it's possibly my last chance unless I have a fling with someone unsuitable and fall miraculously pregnant.

AIBU to go behind his back and implant, and to swear his gf to secrecy when she inevitably finds out?
Should I tell him its. His if it works or pretend I got a private donor"/ has a ONS?

Cel982 · 25/02/2019 19:00

Do you think they'll drag it out until the baby is born and Robbo feels an inexplicable connection with it despite it apparently being the spawn of Anonymous Donor No. 39625? Maybe it'll need a bone marrow transplant from a relative...

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 25/02/2019 19:09

I have just had a massive binge catch up of the last week or so's episodes (crappy day at work so needed the mindless unwinding) and Simone is SO crafty! She is playing them all with her faux innocence "it's all about the lurve for the cooking" etc. TeamZiggy all the way here.

There's this wonderful line in Friends where Phoebe says "Monica, I think you've gone over to the bad place" and that is so Tori right now. It's weird when you find yourself thinking that Justin is the rational one...

I'm kinda in Tori's side.... Kinda!

ChoccyJules · 25/02/2019 21:46

Oh, that‘s exactly how Robbo will find out, baby is going to need a donation of a bodily fluid or part and Tori will have to tell him. Genius!

Starburst8 · 26/02/2019 09:53

Before I comment on the Robbo baby thing... is this a no spoiler thread? Don't want to comment and potentially spoil things for everyone Smile

SleepingStandingUp · 26/02/2019 10:15

I'll link you in

SpanielEars070 · 26/02/2019 10:25

I'm so glad I've just discovered it's not just my guilty pleasure.... I've loved it since being at school in the 80s!! We used to bunk off school if there was a good episode coming up Blush

I'm not buying the whole Robbo and Jasmine thing - they've got such awful chemistry on screen and given she looks about 12, it's a bit "icky"............ and loving that Tori is so desperate for a baby and it's her "last chance" when she doesn't look a day over 26 Hmm.

SleepingStandingUp · 26/02/2019 10:27

She has low egg count though, so even though she's only 30 I do feel for her

Starburst8 · 26/02/2019 13:59

Thanks @SleepingStandingUp
