Did anyone else get a bit excited for the trailer for that?

Also now we have Silent Witness and LoD in the Horizom I may never leave the house.

Just poping on to say am so glad we have this thread. all my friends are going to watch the box set when all the episodes are all online Confused. I much prefer it this way so we can examine, speculate and discuss. Grin

A quick look at IMDB this morning gives no answers as all the cast are listed as appearing in six episodes.

I miss the sexy German policeman from The Missing series 2 (yes I know he died). I feel Baptiste needs a hot ally to counteract the dark tones of the series.

I wonder what caused the 'about turn' by Zelincu from crime lord to advocate for sex workers. I would have thought in his former life he would have been more likely to have Natalie bumped off rather than safely kept in hiding. Do you think that will be relevant to the storyline?

When she asked was he ok after he had rung her out of the blue,he answered No and cut the call.

He is living in Antwerp. Have watched again and I agree with the pp who said he didn’t know the head was in the cellar - I think it had been put there while he was away so presumably it is someone he knows if not his dad. Deal man recognises the Romanian accent because he has a good friend who is Romanian - who might that be? Tom Hollander’s panic does seem to be that he has to find Natalie not just know she is safe - when he is told she is in Germany he doesn’t go Phew - out of danger, his panic increases at the thought he will never find her. Natalie seems more streetwise than her sister who seems genuinely terrified. What I can’t understand is why Tom Hollander went to the police in the first place and having gone to them why he did not give them the full story. What is the significance of Zalinku’s sex change - Baptiste worked it out in about five minutes so slightly surprising no one else has. The episode is called Shell - which seems significant. A shell’s just a shell never mind what it looks like on the outside - so says Deal man just before he is killed. Does that mean Zalinku is still Zalinku?

The Missing were separate stories so you should be okay. Just little back story things about wife, strain on marriage due to work etc. Nothing that would impact on a new storyline I don't think. Also, I think he had a brain tumour operated on in the last series so may continue to be a bit disabled from that.

I think that Baptiste saying "I'm not the man I used to be" is partly true but also to lull them all into thinking he's not as astute as he used to be (which clearly isn't the case given his coup discovering that Kim Vogel was Zelincu)...

I clocked that the cafe bar lady is/was a man as soon as she spoke.

Enjoyed the first episode and love seeing Amsterdam.
