I have finished the DVD of series 5 this weekend. I am totally in the Soldier Soldier zone! Just as much as OG, though not fantasising over any captains or SF personnel this time! I have a vague recollection that back in the day, I did rather fancy one of the officers but hadn't really recognised who it might be whilst re-watching all the episodes recently. I presumed in the last 20 odd years, my taste must have changed but in series 5, there is a rather delicious Major Taylor, played by Dougray Scott. Mmmm, I think he must be the one!

So far, I have binged on 56 episodes, with two more series to go.

Magi how long did it take you to get through all seven series?

Hope we've all made the most of the lovely weather this weekend. I have been outside most of it - honest - not just watching Soldier Soldier!

You're doing well ILove. Wouldn't be able to say exactly how long it took me really. Having it on UKTV I just rolled on with it and didn't have little breaks getting hold of the DVD or anything. Definitely was in the Soldier Soldier zone as you describe it! Dougray Scott definitely was one to remember. He was in a good number of episodes so that was great.

Really am surprised at just how much I enjoyed it. As I mentioned recently I am still dipping into episodes. So all I can say is just keep going.Smile

Having just mentioned Dougray Scott I decided to google him (as you do!) and found, among the websites suggested, a three and a half minute interview on YouTube of DS and LP as they appear together in Snatch. Within the clip there is also a scene of them acting together in one of the episodes. Strange to see DS at the age he is now, having watched the younger version on Soldier Soldier, alongside LP. Interesting.

Ah yes Magi, I remember watching that clip when DS and LP were interviewed about Snatch. It made me laugh when LP referred to the "Costa del Crime". That American interviewer made me cringe though.

Thanks for the link Bonnie. I agree with you all about photoshopping CJ's head onto that Facebook post.

Is anyone following that new fanfic "Someone Like You"? It's a totally different take on Bones. The most recent chapter had me sniggering into my breakfast cereal this morning. It's a much nicer version of Bones than was in the TV series.
