Can you believe we are on thread 50! This is for all discussions on the BBC series Our Girl and any possible future series. Reference to Captain James is particularly welcome.

Oh Major Tom is overstepping the mark by trying to blackmail Tony about the sergeant's course.

Side issue - it's snowing here - not great from a work perspective.

Back to the boxing. Nice bit of drumming going on.

Tony's going to sweat it off. How many pounds does he need to lose?

We had snow and ice from late on Tuesday Rhu. It was ok(ish) yesterday as it was soft snow then melted when the sun was out. However, it froze again when the sun went down and the side roads are like skating rinks today - basically compressed snow and ice from the cars going over them. I didn't even go out today as I am worried about slipping.

If only it were so easy and quick to lose weight like that.

Yes ilove it's supposed to stay cold for a few days, so I guess it's going to hang about in some form or other until the end of the weekend. Looks like I'm walking to work tomorrow. I got my wellie boots out earlier, just in case.

Very formal evening by the looks of it. Why do they have to be in their dress uniform? Sorry, don't understand boxing at all.

Joy does have some awful clothes - perhaps it's the new mum thing or just terrible fashions. She looks a bit smarter in CTM.

Be thankful we haven't got the same weather some of the American states are experiencing at the moment!

I reckon the formal clothes are just part and parcel of regimental traditions and the old adage about the noble art of boxing. Actually, I keep thinking of those scenes from Blackadder goes Forth, when Stephen Fry's mad Brigadier asks Captain Darling, "How do I look, Darling?' and he replies, 'Girl bait, Sir, sheer bloody girl bait!"

Meanwhile back at the naughty knicker party....the party organiser doesn't look amused.

Oh yes, the news item about America was amazing - throwing the boiling hot water into the air and seeing it freeze mid-air.

The woman selling the underwear has been in lots of things but I remember her in 'The House of Elliot' as one of the seamstresses. I think her name is Judy something? Possibly?

The human pyramid is quite funny, but as this is going to be Tony's last fight, it's fitting that Joy should see it, if she likes that kind of thing. I really couldn't care who wins.

That's right Rhu - well remembered!

I don't care who wins either, but we do have the reputation of the regiment to consider.... yawn, yawn.

Well that's the end of episode 4. Are we on again for episode 5 at the same time next week?

Oh good it's over - phew. Well we did our duty for the sake of the Our Girl regiment etc etc and have watched and commented on this episode. Hopefully, it will get better from here. I watched the next episode a little while ago, but haven't gone any further with this series.

I'm going to buy the DVD of series 4 I think. It's definitely addictive.

Yes, I'll be here next week for episode 5. As you said a while ago, ilove, there are some things which could be learned from watching episode 5.
