Did I read Danny Dyer won best actor at the NTA. For what exactly???

From what I can gather, remembering his lines.

Bloominglovely · 25/01/2019 09:58

Remembering his lines

The most worrying part of that is I’m not sure if you are joking or not!

The80sweregreat · 25/01/2019 10:23

I don't mind mick when his ' happy mick'
Miserable mick is a pain.

The80sweregreat · 25/01/2019 11:23

To think that Jay Brown has missed out on all that work as nobody ( except Ray) died in the end.
Les Coker must be so upset.
Anyway, we have to wait till Monday now for the next episode.
Give Kat time to find a big bag for all that dosh!

iknowimcoming · 25/01/2019 12:06

Also where are masood and his auntie and uncle? Btw loved the scene where mo, Kat and Stacey were discussing the difficulties of faking your own death errrrrrrr didn't mo fake kats death quite recently? Pot, kettle.

Bloominglovely · 25/01/2019 12:28

The80s My theory is you don’t mind chirpy Mick because you just see him pulling a pint, making a comment ie jyst in the background. Miserable Mick is always in storylines so a lot more time on our screens showing us how one dimensional he is!

ILoveMaxiBondi · 25/01/2019 12:48

I find moody Mick quite attractive Blush

The80sweregreat · 25/01/2019 13:42

Blooming, I suppose this is true. Happy chappy mick is just fine ; no real stories , rock the waistcoat and slobber over L.
Unhappy mick requires a bit of real acting (which is patchy. )

tobee · 25/01/2019 15:58

Yes, 80s, re Jay missing the business. Ray's burial was a bit DIY as well.

AlbertWinestein · 25/01/2019 16:14

I’ve long since come to the conclusion that the actress that plays Sonya is not at all ambitious, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Paying the mortgage is paying the mortgage. But surely she must occasionally read her script and think, “Oh, big part for me again...Go me!”

youarenotkiddingme · 25/01/2019 16:24

Meanwhile all the time we are wondering if Stu has gone good or not we are forgetting he murdered his 'friend' a month or so ago!

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2019 16:36

Wow you lot talk. Here’s new thread

And can I add I said Denny’s drone wouid record the crime

But who did it

I also find Mick hot. What I'd do to be the filling in a Mick and Stu sarnie!

ILoveMaxiBondi · 25/01/2019 16:41

Paying the mortgage is paying the mortgage. But surely she must occasionally read her script and think, “Oh, big part for me again...Go me!”

With the little screen time she’s had recently I’d be surprised if it is even covering her mortgage. She can’t be that well paid. Or are they on a fixed salary regardless of how often they appear on screen?

ILoveMaxiBondi · 25/01/2019 16:43

Grin south! Mick would spend the whole time scowling at stu and stu would spend the whole time smirking at mick.

southeastdweller · 25/01/2019 16:43

I read it's per episode.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 25/01/2019 16:45

So that can’t be a great salary for lots of the cast. Jay for example. He’s appeared in about 6 episodes in the last year or so. He must have another job.

Bloominglovely · 25/01/2019 17:01

In a quest to find out their salaries, I read an article about Corrie stars. They seem to get paid a salary from £250K per annum to £30K for a three month contract. Obviously these are the long running actors. The piece said it can work out between £400 to thousands per episode depending on the character.

youarenotkiddingme · 25/01/2019 17:01

I heard they get a salary and that salary says how many episodes they appear in for the pay.

So totally agree some must be on low pay. It seems there's more cast and less screen time per character currently.

woodhill · 25/01/2019 17:17

Danny Dyer isa terrible actor - plays himself

SoupDragon · 25/01/2019 17:55

Natalie Cassidy has 2 young children doesn't she? She might not want a big commitment at the moment.

I agree about Jay though. He's never in it.

Bloominglovely · 29/01/2019 23:52

Is this thread still going?

I really liked tonight's episode with Shirley and Billy. I laughed for the first time in ages when watching EE.

Apart from Mitch, it was a great episode. I'd really like if the Vic had new owners now as Mick and Linda are so boring and same old things over and over - karoke or drama. The only good thing about them being in charge is it allows Shirley airtime.

SoupDragon · 30/01/2019 07:21

We are all over here on a new thread
