Kim popped a baby boy named after granite

Only storyline left is MEL and ray wedding which happens tomorrow /nye/nyd

And will the slater house ever just have Martin STACEY and their kids

OP posts:
ILoveMaxiBondi · 03/01/2019 21:45

I agree. Alfie was providing a far better life for those boys than Kat having them crammed into the expanding house with all the screeching slaters.

nancy75 · 03/01/2019 21:56

Alfie would definitely be the better parent, Kat finds out she can keep her kids & the first thing she does is leave them to go down the pub!

southeastdweller · 03/01/2019 21:56

Of course he is. Why would anyone want to leave their kids in that crazy house?

Akire · 03/01/2019 22:02

All caught up again, well that was a let down! Another nearly dead oh look they are alive and well. Surely police would looked at home for Ray? Hoping someone actual dies this week. Don’t care if Ray,Mel or annoying Hunter!

What meds had Hayley taken to Knock herself out? and where can I get some
Why was the baby supposed to be when Alfie was having cake for tea?

Bloominglovely · 03/01/2019 23:38

How can Alfie look after three or four children by himself in Spain whilst also working full time? He doesn't give the impression of having pots of money, enough for a full time nanny and bar staff...bar work is mainly evening and late nights which means sleeping late in the morning. Children tend to wake early......he'd barely have enough time for the rest of his wheeling and dealing/cremation business let alone parent four children. How was that all going to work? Presumably if he was in London buying fireplaces to run cremation business, the bar in Spain is either doing a flying trade - enough to hire full time staff and a bar manager - in which case why was Alfie trying to sponge free accommodation in Ian's house?

And yes to Kat going off to the pub after a weary day of worrying about the children. Surely she'd actually be seriously concerned about Hayley not actually waking up from the sleeping tablet by the time she waltzed off to the pub too?

Is Ray dead or not? Mel will have to go on the run to protect Hunter won't she or else say its self defense perhaps? Why on earth would she go alone to Ray while still wearing a wedding dress? And the people 'celebrating' the non wedding event by watching her cut a wedding cake. Totally bizarre.

Is it awful to say I enjoyed the episode though......

MyOtherProfile · 04/01/2019 05:50

How can Alfie look after three or four children by himself
Because like all good soap opera children they slip conveniently into stasis when not needed for a story line, allowing their parents to get on with all the drama of their lives unhindered. Grin

shineyshell · 04/01/2019 07:44

Loved it when Ian put the battered prawn back on the plate when Mick said he'd risked his sex life cooking themGrin
Tommy and twins would be better off in Spain, Kat loves them but she hasn't got the energy or patience to cope with them without Alfie.
Think Mel n Hunter are going bury Ray and keep quiet, I couldn't live with the fear of him being found! I think Hunter would get off a murder charge when he was saving his mum's life?

SoupDragon · 04/01/2019 08:32

I don't think Alfie could necessarily provide a better life for the children. It's not all about location. He was happy enough to dump the boys whilst he ran off with Cherry and he's left Cherry, a 2 month old baby, with some unidentified person overnight.

He's a tosser and we've only seen/heard of what Kat did, nothing else (because it's not relevant to the storyline I guess)

Hubanmao · 04/01/2019 08:49

Whereas when Kat was in charge, she neglected the twin toddlers and young Tommy to the extent one got seriously burnt from boiling water. She was off shagging a random upstairs....

Someone put the kids in care! We have the foster parents across the square who are looking after neglected/ abused kids, meanwhile there’s neglect going on right in front of us. Oh the irony

southeastdweller · 04/01/2019 08:55

Just the overcrowding issue is bad enough. What kind of life is that for any kid to have?

I do know it’s not real...honestly!

shineyshell · 04/01/2019 09:23

Not real!!Shock
Best thing would be they all go to Spain reducing overcrowding in the house by 7- sorted! Lucky Spain!Grin

SinisterBumFacedCat · 04/01/2019 09:41

Alfie is an absolute cunt. I'm annoyed at what they've done to his character, he was a cheeky Chappy before, now he's a self serving emotional blackmailer. He completely forgot about his sons when he ran of with pure baby girl Cherry. And as for a better life in Spain he was stealing off Ian a few weeks ago and trying desperately to sell funerals to his very much alive friends so I don't think the Spanish villa is a paradise.

The80sweregreat · 04/01/2019 09:57

Is Ray dead then?

SoupDragon · 04/01/2019 10:07

Whereas when Kat was in charge, she neglected the twin toddlers and young Tommy to the extent one got seriously burnt from boiling water.

Many parents have had a child accidentally scalded with hot water though. Obviously not many would have been whilst they were shaggging a Russian though... it was an accident, preventable but still an accident. They're both poor parents though, that was my point.

he was a cheeky Chappy before

He was a wanker before that though wasn't he?

The80sweregreat · 04/01/2019 10:12

Alfie has forgotten that he scarred his own wife by setting light to a house! For the insurance and messed it up.
Such a hypocrite eh?

shineyshell · 04/01/2019 10:38

I'd forgotten that 80's! It's a horrible relationship, dunno what they're going to do.
Is Ray dead? Grin good question, we've had 3 rising up from the dead in the last week or is 4?!

The80sweregreat · 04/01/2019 12:05

he was shot, but guessing that isn't a given that his no longer breathing!
death is a ' movable feast' on eastenders ( this past few weeks.)
the whole Tiffany, bernie Karen thing was well done though.
good for them.
i hope thats the last we see of Alfie.

nancy75 · 04/01/2019 12:07

For the benefit of the thread I think we need an actual definition of what the word dead means

The80sweregreat · 04/01/2019 12:11

Nancy : Eastenders definition is ' might be, maybe, if we want them back then they are not' : nothing permanent!
Checking for a pulse isn't an option ever.

potatoscone · 04/01/2019 12:14

Hilarious. 3 dead but not dead characters in the space of about 8 days.

nancy75 · 04/01/2019 12:14

It’s no wonder the cokers has to give up the funeral business, how would you ever make any money in a place where no one stays dead long enough to be buried!

LaLaLamp · 04/01/2019 12:17

I wonder where they got Mel's New York skyline picture above the bed from. I enjoyed the episodes but got more out of this thread Grin

SinisterBumFacedCat · 04/01/2019 12:41

We could have a "dead" and "dead dead" definition. I.e.:

Vincent - "dead"
Pat/Peggy - "dead dead"

Akire · 04/01/2019 12:45

Ha and dead and dead dead. Do wonder of script writers get together not five depressed groyps going oh you going love this twist stu/Mel/Alfie are going to appear and die and we make it look like they are dead BUT the audience will never guess they aren’t really dead!!!

SoupDragon · 04/01/2019 12:46

It makes you wonder how Cokers stays in business.
