Although I can't think about January yet...

I'm still in denial it's nearly December- which means ds will be 16 , and I will be 47 and another year will be over.

Fizzy yes Delpo's fisherman's jumper was another highlight of the year - albeit imaginary Xmas Grin

Fizzywinegum · 21/12/2018 20:03

I still think it’s real Private - I can picture it along with the log fire - just right for Christmas Xmas Grin

JaneJeffer · 21/12/2018 21:49

I think we all suffer from the Mandela effect when it comes to Delpo's fisherman's jumper Grin

I meant to say earlier my favourite part of the looong match was when Drama said to hell with this I'm going to walk the dogs. It just summed up the frustration Xmas Grin

PrivateEggnog · 21/12/2018 22:06

Grin Was it still going on when she got back, by any chance?!

JaneJeffer · 21/12/2018 22:08

I think so!

Fizzywinegum · 21/12/2018 22:20

I was on holiday when that match was going on - we went to the beach, out for lunch, out for dinner and the match was still going on. By the time Rafa and Novak came on I was slightly worse for wear (was in Mallorca) and vaguely remembered shouting vamos Rafa with an elderly Spanish man - good times Grin

PrivateEggnog · 22/12/2018 11:30

Grin Fizzy

Saw this on twitter earlier - where tennis is being shown on tv/online next year. Really useful - but ridiculous that it needs a spreadsheet!!!

I am watching 'Christmas at the Coopers' on Netflix whilst ironing. It has the wonderful Alan Arkin in it and ticks all my schmaltzy Christmas boxes.
it also has lots of dogs in it, which makes me happy. Grin

That's a good one Raahh!!

I'm watching Nadal v Djokovic at Wimbledon. It's 4-2 in the second set, super high-quality tennis, and AC is going on about gardening!!

PrivateEggnog · 23/12/2018 12:14

On YouTube I should say. I haven't gone back in time (sadly).

Raahh · 23/12/2018 12:19

Private it woulds be a great Christmas miracle Rafa could win.

'Christmas at the Coopers' (which somehow I have never seen before) made me cry BlushGrin

We got here. Just 5 mins later than scheduled to be at DGCs.

A real Christmas miracle.

PrivateEggnog · 23/12/2018 12:26

Yay magi! That's great. A real life Hallmark Christmas film!!

Raahh they nearly always make me cry, despite being totally predictable!

Raahh · 23/12/2018 13:03

Brilliant stuff magi .Have a wonderful time!

magi Stan was also travelling through Geneva airport over Christmas!
Festive Stan

Hope everyone had a good day yesterday!

19 days until the Aus Open Xmas Smile

PrivateEggnog · 26/12/2018 16:35

PS I think Stan is the king of cheesy social media posts - tennis-wise that is Xmas Grin

Raahh · 26/12/2018 18:20

I saw a picture from the ATP site of Stan with his personalised Christmas Wrapping paper. Grin

And Sascha with a very cute dog.

My sister flew to Mexico today, after we spent Christmas Eve there for dinner with my dad and his partner and yesterday, my mum and hers Grin

it was very good of her to host twice, since she had to be at the airport at about 6 this morning ( to be fair, we live both live less than a mile from it, so not too bad).
I used to work there. 5am starts on Boxing day were always fun- passengers who had overlndulged on Christmas day always looked even blearier eyed than normal. Grin

dd1(12) got a record player for Christmas, and I have been indulging in the nostalgia of playing all my old dusty vinyl.

My Bay City roller album was a big hit. Grin

Stan's cheesy social media pics always make me smile.
I'm so glad you made it magi
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas?
I got a renewal for my tennis tv subscription from one of my brothers (my favourite one Wink) so yay!

PrivateEggnog · 26/12/2018 23:25

Hope you had a nice Christmas too mama - what a great present from your DBro, no wonder he's your favourite!!

Raahh I can't believe the youngsters are getting into vinyl again, I chuckled out/gave away all my records ages ago - seems a very rash move now!

Twitter etc is full of pics of players jetting off/arriving at various places. Andy Murray has arrived in Brisbane. Fed is in Perth for Hopman Cup, as is Tsitsipas. I think Rafa and Djok are playing that exhibition in (?)Dubai?

PrivateEggnog · 26/12/2018 23:27

I chucked out my records, not chuckled Hmm stupid autocorrect. I'm definitely not chuckling about it, what if they were worth something?!? Xmas Grin

JaneJeffer · 26/12/2018 23:39

DS's friend got a record player too. I still have records from my teenage years. I find it funny that they're back in vogue what with Spotify having most songs you can think of. I have a pile of videos in the garage. Maybe VCR's will also come back Grin

Stan looks good!

PrivateEggnog · 27/12/2018 07:43
Xmas Grin players and koalas
Raahh · 27/12/2018 10:22

Private vinyl is so expensive to buy now- I was in HMV the other week, it was quite scary. The player I asked my dad to get dd1 was just a £20 Bush one from Argos- (in case the novelty wore off!) the sound is actually really good. The album she really wants is taking a while to come (she asked very last minute for a player)- that is costing more than the playerShock Grin!

Jane you'd better hold on to those tapes, just in case! You could be sitting on a goldmine...

I can't believe how expensive records are. I suppose it's because they're not as mass produced as other stuff? Amazing.

Aw yes Happy birthday Milos. Wow, 27 eh - mind you that is a relative youngster by today's playing standards. Back in the day he'd probably have been contemplating retirement!
