I'm still in denial it's nearly December- which means ds will be 16 , and I will be 47 and another year will be over.

That Thiem match sounds mad. It gets on my wick when players stage a big comeback and then don't go on to win. V annoying (probably for them as well)

I like Benoit but happy to see Thiem go through. He's always tweeting about dolphins etc which is sweet. And anyone who runs under waterfalls as part of their training is ok by me I didn't dream that did I?

Private these youngsters , with their instagram, and google and stuff, just don't realise how hard it was to get tennis results 'back in the day'. So anything I could get my hands on was great.

I spent a lot on phone lines getting results, and watching ceefax.

I had a Stefan poster, and because I did Swedish at university as an extra subject, (which I was crap at) I learnt to pronounce his name properly .

Tomas Enqvist was also quite hot and still is, if the Laver Cup is anything to go by.

I used to have pictures of Ivan Lendl on my bedroom wall . My friend (who I saw this weekend) made me a paper dress up Ivan doll complete with outfits (including a kilt for some reason) - we were very odd teenagers!

I also loved Goran - I think I’ve got a bit of a thing about Eastern European men with high cheekbones. Goran still does it for me, Ivan not so much these days.

I used to be quite fond of David Wheaton, the American player, does anyone remember him?!

The only German Thomas I can think of is Tommy Haas.

Not Tommy Hass but I've checked Wikipedia and now I don't think he was Thomas. He would have been around early 90's I think for a couple of years and then disappeared. It might come back to me when I stop thinking about it!
